2 pumps in 7 days
first pump lasted 82 days flawlessly, then a random day my basement was full of water, pump failed. Second pump only made it 4 days. WATER EVERYWHERE IN BASEMENT! switch gets stuck. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND
I'd like to recommand it
My previous two last for 16 years, just order two to replace them, all looks good
Fantastic pump
Just replaced an old same model pump. Worked without a problem for 12 yrs. very reliable.
Looks like a well built had a Zoeller pump before.
Have not hooked the pump up yet, it will bee used as a backup
Very good, heavy duty unit
Purchased and installed Aug 2023 to replace some old beater of unknown specs. This is my main unit (of 2) which also handles my washing machine water. HIGHLY recommended. Be careful of buying higher HP models if a backup generator might be used (like me). They may have too much startup/inrush current.
Sump Pump Replacement!
Trying to find a plumber who can replace a pump that failed. I have the replacement but need some reasonable priced plumber that does quality work at a reasonable price and not having very much luck.
This Thing Is A Beast (in a good way)!
My poor underappreciated sump pump needs a review. I got this a couple of years ago and due to some storms passing through our area recently, we lost power and I didn't have my backup battery/pump re-installed. (I bought this to replace another brand that quit working and the back-up was never reinstalled.) Needless to say, someone had to take its place. I had to manually remove the water from the pit (the pump was completely covered with water) for about 3 hours. That was very hard work for this middle-aged body! I can't believe how much work this little thing does. I came here looking for the specs. for a battery backup and decided to leave a review. It deserves 5 stars after I did its job for a few hours. I personally know how hard it works!
Built to be repaired, not thrown away
I first found out about Zoeller pumps (and the M57 in particular) when my neighbor called saying their sump pump had stopped working, they had 2" of waster on the floor, and could I do anything. I went over to look, pulled out the pump (a Zoeller M57), and verified that the pump was indeed dead. They ordered a new one. When it came I installed it for them and took the old pump as my "payment" to see if I could figure out what was wrong with it. FIrst guess was a bad switch, and that turned out to be correct. I discovered that SupplyHouse.com sells a comolete array of replacement parts for Zoeller pumps, so I ordred a new one, put it in, and I now had a pump "as good as new."
Replaced older Zoeller model
Almost five years ago, I purchased a Zoeller model M53-D which the same voltage and horsepower. The warranty was for three years. The pump motor ran without stopping for about 36 to 48 hours before I realized that the float switch had failed. I was very impressed and happy with the fact that the older pump lasted as long as it did.
Poorly Packaged
Quality pump. Wish they hadn't shipped it in nothing but the store-shelf box. Box was wrecked, bunch of dings in the pump's paint. Pump survived it, i guess.
best pump ever
I use this product for extreme duty in a oily sludge type of water it works great and the
I would by product again from Supply House .com
Product is proven the only pump I by for industrial work & home. Supply House .com is now the place I will buy from. Other shipping company failed shipping product twice without damage and long shipping delays.
Worth a few extra bucks for a solid brand.
Fairly simple replacement Memorial day weekend, my old one was 22+ years old and non responsive. Spent more time measuring the PVC multiple times and adding a check valve which was not there previously. I'm no expert, and I'm sure it's completely valid but drilling a small hole in the PVC at the top of the pump is odd. Water came shooting out each time I tested it and as luck would have it, it hit a spot on the pit and water also sprayed upwards because it's under pressure comes out pretty hard but I keep the plastic lid on it so it shouldn't be an issue. I tested it three times but the real assessment comes after we get more rain.
Best Pump For Basement Sumps
In the days of 'engineered to fail' manufacturing, its great to find products that perform well for many years.
Solidly built, easy to install, runs quietly.
I installed two of these - the 63 model, with the "upgrade" cast-iron impeller. It runs quietly and smoothly out of the box. The feel of the switch is robust - not a plasticky flimsy click but a solid feel. The pump itself runs quiet and I am happy with that. The green-painted cast iron makes it surprisingly attractive as something that I will nearly never actually look at. Installation was straightforward; it required a little bit of adjustment as my prior pumps (I installed two of these, the 63 model with the cast-iron impeller) had a thinner profile at the impeller base, but it was basically about unscrewing the old pump from the pipe and screwing the pipe into the Zoeller. Plug and play - I'm very happy so far, two weeks in.
Great pumps
I've had 2 other Zoeler pumps. They work great, last a long time and are built solid.
Don't waste your money and time on cheap sump pumps
Solid and well made. Heavy enough so that it does move when the pump comes on.
It’s been working overtime the last 3 weeks.
My sump stop working and I didn’t notice because it’s located in an area of the basement I don’t frequent. After noticing a smell I found the area had started to generate mold starting where the sump pump was located. After doing a complete cleanup, I researched top rated sump pumps and this brand was at top. Since installing it’s been raining for the pass 3 weeks and so far no problem. I was planning a get away. I can’t imagine what I would have come back to. I will be checking that area on regular bases. My last pump was plastic and original to the 28 year old house. The one is cast iron and I hope it lasts half as long.
Excellent Pumps!
Six years ago we purchased our forever home. We knew that there was somewhat of a water problem in the basement, and the existing ad-hoc pumping system was really poorly installed. We had 2 new sump pits installed, each with 2 Zoeller pumps (primary/backup). This is the first time Ive had to replace one in all this time. The house is in a real low spot and these Zoeller pumps work hard, real real hard, and have been incredibly reliable even pumping water loaded with iron. Im so confident in these pumps that the one that failed I purchased a new switch for, repaired it, and put it on the shelf as a backup. Im sure that if I need it Ill get a few more years out of it. As far as Im concerned Ill never buy anything but a Zoeller.

Probably the best sump pump (NOT A GRINDER PUMP) on the market. The entire body of the pump is made of metal (cast iron) with a powder coat finish to last years in the water. Much better than those plastic pumps that will last only a few years. Now! As with all of these pumps, the only draw back is the float switch. The old original switches were a mercury type switch which would last as long as the pump (10-15 years or longer) but because of environmental concerns, they use a modern contact type of switch. Depending on how often your pump cycles will depend on how often you should change the switch (I change my switch every 5 years and cost around $34.00). That is the only draw back (if you want to call it that) that I have. A great and reliable pump that is worth the money.
