These are perfect for hiding LED lighting strips to create a nice ambient glow around the ceiling.

The ones I got were a little rough around the edges, but they do work as intended when properly finished and installed. Definitely a job best left to a professional. In the end, I decided to go with channel lighting, but am holding on to these for a potential future project.

Worked exactly the way I needed it to

Excellent quality and price versus MSRP.

As with the other ORAC product I purchased, this is of exceptional quality. Packaging was notably sufficient and none of the individual lengths arrived with any damage to them, though this material is exceptionally resistant to compressive force by nature of being polystyrene. Though there are measurements included in the description, and a quantity displayed unlike the other ORAC product I purchased, this item will require some careful attention to detail to install, and likely will require counter-sunk pre-drilled holes for a secure installation if an adhesive is not utilized to avoid splitting the material. Would recommend this if there is a space that would benefit from a soffit lighting effect using any number of strip based lighting implementations, LEDs are commonly utilized for this but incandescent strip lighting would likely not harm the material despite residual heat versus LEDs. This can be installed in any number of orientations as there is not a surface with manufacturing or product markings of any kind. Impressed with its quality and strength, doesn't appear to be unable to flex but I would not suggest installing this with that expectation. Four stars only because the products dimensions though accurate to the Overstock description, the recessed portion might not facilitate installation of lighting that is not particularly shallow - the lighting fixture/strip may be visible if not installed high on a wall as shown in the Overstock.com display images. Great product that is what I anticipated and would buy again. Doesn't produce a significant amount of dust when cutting.

Light it Up!

This stuff was easy to cut and work with and looks pretty decent finished and painted. My only critique is that the glue that the manufacturer suggested doesn't work that well, especially for such a high price point. I suggest mounting these with constitution adhesive combined with some door frame finishing nails at the studs for extra rigidity. Then just spackle or caulk the screw holes before painting and it's rock solid. Everyone loves the lights.
