Waste of money, does not work

I will start by saying that the mixture ratio of this product at 24 oz per gallon is not cost-effective. The product is very selective on what weeds it kills, and the ones that leaves behind. Upon the first application, I waited 7 days and the results were not anywhere near what I had expected. Making a second application, and waiting another 7 days, the results were still disappointing. I will go back to using Compare N Save and RM43.

Works at a lower dilution!

I am on the second bottle of the concentrate formula. First time I made a mistake and diluted the small bottle 1:2 using it on the driveway and walkway. It worked beautifully & nothing has grown back in few months. Purchased a bigger bottle, followed the suggested dilution, sprayed on my brick porch cracks. Two weeks later, weeds were still happy. Prepared a new batch diluting 1:2 and a couple of hours later they are finally dying. It does leave a white residue, but is washes off after a while.

Ground clear

I miss read the instructions and actually put 32 ounces instead of 24 into a 1 gallon container then filled the rest of the container up to the 1 gallon mark with water.

Double Strength

This is the strength you are looking for. It has at least double the active chemical of the regular Veg Killer. I've used the regular Ortho Veg killer for 20 years. The reg strength is still good. Pay attention to the outside temp of 70 Deg F or more. The hotter the better this works on weeds. It will last longer in more arid regions like ours.

Vinegar beats this and no weed cutting

I am new to spraying weeds in rocks. I used Harris 30 percent Vinegar on many weeds . Many weeds tall and out of control. Way over 6 inch. I had fairly good results. I wanted all weeds gone though so went back and decided to give into chemical. Guy at depot said he likes this. Did nothing. In fact looked refreshed like some of the reviews stated. I went back to Harris which works, but you need to have a sprayer that can take the vinegar and its not the hdx. Still learning. Betterfordogskids.

You have got to be kidding!!!

I owned acreage and used glycophosphate products exclusively for 20+ years. I purchased both Monsanto Roundup concentrate and generic Gordons Pronto Big n Tuff concentrate at our local Grange Ag. center. Both worked as advertised with total kill within a short time frame. I moved into town last year, into a firewise community, where weed abatement is a sensitive issue. I have roughly 900 square feet of natural hillside that requires annual weed abatement. I was shopping at Lowes and purchased the Ortho product, since it advertised results within 3 hours.

Bad value. Makes little over gallon

This is 32 Oz and it takes 24 to make a gallon. There are much better values per gallon at Home Depot, even though the upfront cost may be a little higher. You have to open the label to see the mixing directions, which is sneaky on their part. Not sure who on Ortho's management team thought this was a good idea. Short term make more money, long term lose customers.

The instructions on the label are in Spanish...why? I expect products sold in the US to have English labels. The best I could do was look around to find the dilution chart and it seems like it should be 24oz of the concentrate to 1 gallon of water (hope that is right..would love to know in English! So far I have used a back pack sprayer to treat some areas and I see no effect yet. So, not sure if the dilution ratio is not right or the product is crap. Not impressed!

GroundClear does just that . . . no more weeds!

Bought this at Lowe's the other day to replace another product that ran out. The product that I had been using required multiple applications on some of the more gnarly weeds. I'd heard good things about GroundClear so decided that maybe the extra cost would actually be a savings if I only had to apply it once. And I was right! The stuff really kills any weed you spray it on. Killed. Dead. Weeds just seem to dry up and blow away. Well worth the extra $$$ since it does the job the first time.

Sprayed less than 300sq ft with mixture according to directions. Even using the remaining weed killer to make a smaller mixture to respray some of the more difficult weeds 10days later. Only 10% of sprayed area died. This was a complete waste of money. I do not recommend this weed killer!!! Buy the Ortho weed killer in a white bottle with red cap. It will kill everything you want quickly, and just need a little respray on difficult weeds.
