Product rusts!

Bought this strainer in mid December 2022. Have used it, maybe, 8-9 times. It's always washed and dried before storing. The area around the frame holding the strainer area in place is rusting badly. The rust is now carrying onto the actual strainer itself. Never in a million years did I think a Tablecraft product would start to rust so early in its life.

Rusted

Nice size large enough to sit nicely over the sink without it sliding all over the place I love the handle. The really big problem is that it started to rust after a couple of uses. I do not have hard water I have a whole house water filtration system but yet it rusted within 2 weeks. So much for the stainless steel?

l really like the size of the strainer and have already incorporated in my daily cooking.

Rusted first use.

Its beautiful but it rusted the first time i used it. I just rinsed some lettuce in it and let it dry on its own and it rusted when i went to to out it away.

This is a high quality, sturdy strainer and I love it. Awesome price! Nice and big, will fit any of your straining needs.

Economical and reasonably durable. Coarse Reinforcing mesh strengthens strainer but also causes some screen blinding when sifting stickier or granular drys. rim is not sealed so presents a cleaning / sanitation issue.

I love its design and that it seems very sturdy. The wood handle combined with the wire mesh makes me hopeful it will last longer than the plastic one I had previously.

Great for cleaning and straining rice, vegetables, or any of the other various things you need to strain. This is the right size to get - smaller won't hold enough and bigger would be too heavy once everything is inside.

This Tin Double Mesh Strainer is a must item to have in the kitchen. Built with the right material. We've not had any complaints from our cooks so far. We recommend it.

This product works wonderfully! We bought it to help us sift our different salts and sugars since salt and sugar have a tendency to clump. It's big which allows us to sift faster. Sturdy enough and nice handle.

We use this for our pastas and it does the job well. The mesh holds up well even with our all day use. Cleans easily.

Love the medium tin double mesh strainer from Tablecraft and its a great tool to have when making jam. The strainer helps get out the seeds and makes a smooth, delicious jam.

This strainer is a great size for random kitchen tasks. It works great as a sifter. The size of the mesh is not too small and not too big.

Very good product. The mesh in this strainer is great for removing almost as much as a chinois. I primarily use it for stocks and soups. I also have one that I put behind the bar to strain used fruit out of drink glasses. The mesh hasn't shown any signs of wear, tear or rust and they had heavy use for almost two years now.

Draining a whole can of sauerkraut is not easy. So I bought 10 1/4” strainer to make it easy. It’s working great without any waste.

These strainers are expensive in local stores. Much cheaper online. I use it a ton! They work great for things such as making fresh ricotta and even straining stocks.
