This Westbrass 1/2" shower arm is the 2nd one I've ordered and have had to return due to the threads not being cut correctly during the manufactering process. Will look for a different brand. pic: top piece has flat threads

The Original shower arm was too short for a product holder that fits over the top of the shower arm and with a wand it prevented the hose from a natural drop from the shower arm. This extended arm allowed for a wire product holder and a much better wand application.

The curb thing is straight down not angle like it shows it online pictures

I like the length, and it was described as lead free.

Had to return it because it was defective and wouldn’t screw into the wall. Also wasn’t very durable for the price.

OK for the price, but just OK.

This piece is just OK, it is a thin gauge pipe, it actually weighed less than the 6 inch pipe this 10 inch was replacing. Also, the threads seem a little off, as the old pipe screwed in and out very well, while this one seamed to bind up way to soon as if the taper is to steep. It barely engaged the first threads and it was hard to turn in what seemed like not enough threads having caught. In the end, I had to go up into the attic to make sure it wasn't leaking because I had so little faith that it worked. I guess for the price it worked out, but had I known I could get a better one for more money, I would have spent more. .

Construction/quality is fine but the bend starts at about 2” from end instead of 3” as is the case for the 6 and 8 inch units. This makes it less suitable for installing in a wall to achieve a down angle set for those wanting to lower the showe head position.

Threads are terrible

As others have said in reviews, the threads are terrible and will quickly strip your brass 90 elbow if you try too hard to make it work. I ordered three, tried two and both had same issue. Returning to store and looking for another option.
