You have to do a lot of modifications for this greenhouse to sustain the winds during the winter. We use sand bags around the perimeter and stretch bungie straps across from side to side securing them on the middle crossbar and around the bottom of the bags. It sounds like a lot of work, but actually quite easy. I have had one to last four years, if it had not snowed 8 inches, it would still be standing. Do not unzip the cover if the greenhouse has lasted through that accumulation. Big mistake. The covers are really quite durable. Fortunately, we do not have snow like that maybe once every 6-8 years.
It’s good value for the money, but one of the poles was inaccurately cut, so I can’t secure one corner as the holes don’t align. At the moment this project is in limbo till I figure I’m out a way to correct the issue.
Perfect size polytunnel
We brought this, so that I can do some gardening in the cold winter ahead. It is just perfect for what we wanted. Easy to put up, you need two people. Make sure you get some some metal big hooks to go in the ground. Great product and great value. The company was great as well, we had an issue which they settled very quickly. So would buy from them again.
Love it. A couple of things as pointers... find a 10mm (meteric) tool. The one they provided is...eh. You really need at least two people for this, you just and you need to build front to back each side at the same time. Would buy again for sure
This is the third time I've ordered this product. This last purchase was a total waste of money. The first time I ordered in March of 2019 I was happy with the purchase, the second time I ordered in Feb. 2021 again I was extremely satisfied with the order. As I live in Colorado the fact that the greenhouse would last 2 to 3 growing seasons is why I keep purchasing. My most recent order in April of 2024 was not up to par with previous orders. The greenhouse was set up the end of May and is already worthless. One of main supports has snapped, the seams have weak areas that have ripped, the Velcro tabs inside have already ripped off as have the ties to hold the door when opened. We have not even had a hail storm this year and have not had any extreme winds. In the past this greenhouse held up through some hard storms, this last purchase fell apart within months without any strong storms. I'm not sure if this purchase was a one off or if the company is cutting corners and this is their new par
Well this is out first time purchasing such a product like this. Quiet surprised on how assembly was easy. Definitely need to people, just to help out with center structure. Just set it up with it on the ground, with no base for now. Hopefully it work like that till next year, going to build a knee wall for it.
$ value is indicative of quality of course. I did assemble it alone. Had i been trying to assemble outside alone that would have been almost impossible. Some reviewers suggested it was very difficult to assemble, I did not find that was the case
Just put this together so I’m not sure about raving about it. Don’t try to put it together with one person. It takes two! Directions, I wish they weren’t confusing, but they are. Really nice size.
Assembly, as expected. Never done this before and we were able to put it together. A video would have been better. It lasted from 2022-2024. The cover is in excellent condition, very durable. The frame got bended only after the big snow storm. I was at the hospital, and didn't have the time to take the cover out. During the previous snow storm I was able to clean the cover of snow. I'm buying another one. This time, I will be more diligent .
Terrible product, did not even withstand a “moderate breeze” stayed upright for 6 days, despite being properly assembled and adequately secured, with pegs included, plus extra that I used
Lasted for 2 summers before it started ripping at the points that stretch over the frame. Didn’t leave it up for the winter so it is a shame that it’s ripping. All the ties tore off and one zipper is broken. We still enjoy it though and it serves its purpose without being too costly.
Was easy to assemble. The cover fit perfect. Greenhouse needs to be anchored. We lost our greenhouse before we even got to use it due to a surprise wind storm. It does not withstand wind very well at all. We took the cover off to keep it from blowing around even more. I don’t think it can be saved. I gave this product a 3 star because of the flimsiness of the metal and there were no stakes provided otherwise it was nice.
The tie down on this greenhouse does not work. I came out of my house to find my greenhouse missing. It was tied down to my 2 outside porch columns, that was aside from the 4 tie downs supplied by the product. All that remained outside was the tie downs rope and the green house tabs that were suppose to hold the greenhouse in place. I would like my money back if I can. A refund. I just don’t have the box it came in. Otherwise I would return it.
This is the second one of these I have bought. Initially as a bird flu lockdown home for my chickens and then another to be used for its intended purpose.
Go for a better quality item.
This greenhouse is flimsy and light. 3 days after assembling it flipped and ripped from a measly 4km/hr breeze. After rebuilding it with many reinforcements (2 ratchet straps, 2 corkscrew dog tie-outs, pvc pipes around the metal poles, welded where needed) I would have saved more (money, time %26 effort) just buying a better quality item. 3 months is all it lasted before one of the metal poles across the top finally bent in 13km/hr winds. I have a shelterlogic 6x9 shed that has thicker poles than this thing. think 90's tent poles trying to hold this thing up.
Pretty easy set up. Decent design. However after first thunderstorm wind blew the greenhouse and snapped the hollow metal tubing. Would like a better design with sturdier metal skeleton.
The canvas that goes over the frame is nice and thick. It looks very cute, could be a lot taller as I’m 5’8” and not a lot of head space, but it’s okay. However, the frame is made of very thin metal poles that are very wobbly. I’ve had this up 5 months now. Since then the straps to the door and windows and the ones that hold the body to the ground have all dry rooted. I’m having to find away to hold my door open and windows as well. I hope that a strong wind doesn’t just take it away with the lightness of the whole greenhouse. Which is why I’m giving a 3 star.
I was reluctant when I purchased this item but it was absolutely perfect. It was more than I hoped for. The Green house was simple to put up if you have a second pair of hands... It is HUGE and perfect for all my veggies and herbs I have planted in pots and raised garden beds. I love that it also has the little roll ups for the screened windows. I plan to purchase a couple more as gifts. I know they will LOVE them to. IT WAS A GREAT BUY!
Not the best
The greenhouse itself has held up pretty good, I put bricks around the lip on the bottom edge to help hold it down. But the ropes and strings all break like crazy! I cannot even tie the door open anymore! They all started to break after about 2 or 3 months.
Disappointed
I purchased this greenhouse Oct. 24, 22. It was delivered Oct. 28, 22. We (2) set it up without any tough problems, it was fairly simple to assemble. At first, I loved it, until we got wind. I anchored it very well. The problem was the cover itself kept coming loose and sliding up. I also had 12x12 pavers on the cover flaps on the ground to hold it down, but it was no match for the wind. So now I know it needs to be moved to a less windy spot. When it got warm enough to open the windows to cool it off, as it was over 100 degrees inside, in March, (South Carolina) the straps that hold the window covers up, just fell apart when I tried to tie them. the same thing happened with the string they send to anchor it. I could snap it easily with my fingers. The very top front peak, has a hole in the cover where it had rubbed on the metal frame. So we cant tie up the windows or the door, and it has a good size hole in it, five months after purchase! I am going to try to attach photos. I am extremely disappointed in this product. Just a waste of money. First photo is of the first day. You can see the ties that are attached. Other photos, they are just gone. Never even used the door ties and they are gone. I pulled on one of the window ties, it just fell off and I could snap it in two with one hand. They feel like they are made of paper. I gave two stars because of shipping speed and ease of assembly. The rest is garbage!
