Good palette for watercolors

I use this as a watercolor and gouache palette. Works great, no beading, very spacious.

Usable, but disappointing.

I know it said to expect imperfections, but I didn't expect them on the surface I would be using. I thought they would be on the edges. There is nearly a hole through one corner of the pan. Still usable, but disappointing.

Sweet palettes

I have been painting for over fifty years and I generally use thick glass palettes on top of large permanent studio tables or small plastic ones when using gouache and water color. I discovered these wonderful metal butcher trays and will never go back to anything else. They clean up easily and spotless and the brilliant white makes mixing colors spot on. They come in many sizes for all of my needs. Great product!

Oh my! These are fantastic. I wouldn't use then with oil, prefer a palette, but for acrylics these are fantastic. The mix can't run onto the floor or table or your arm. My 5 year old granddaughter got out her putty mix to play and we grabbed a tray. Worked perfectly, kept any crumbs from the floor ,table and her clothing. Her mom was impressed! She is recommending you to her friends for their children.

I purchased this for my toddler to do craft projects. It's life changing. So easy to clean up and keep everything from ending up on the floor.

can't get enough of these

I have 7 or 8 of these around my studio at any given time. I paint in both oils and acrylics and these trays work great in both contexts. they are durable and easy to clean, and I feel good about not wasting a paper palette or anything disposable. I keep buying more because they are also great for collecting and storing tubes of paint.

Great tool

I am using this on my painting desk to organize painting medium and those lovely jars of water and solvents depending on what the paint flavor of the day is going to be. It would also be fantastic for mixing larger quantities of paint or for painting time with the wee tiny artists called children.

Every beginning or intermediate watercolor artist should one a butcher tray. Great way to learn to use watercolor tube paints and enjoy mixing colors.

Room to mix!

I wearied of my flower shape palette which simply didn't leave me enough room to mix colors and was a pain to clean. This gives me loads of room to mix, even with transitional shades next to each other, and is a breeze to clean. I occasionally still need the flower palette when I need more depth to dip into , for making lots of dots for example, but for day to day use, this is definitely my favorite. ( I primarily use watercolor and gouache, FYI)

Great mixing space

Love the big size--it's perfect for mixing large color pools for skies and background and seascapes.

Game changer

Using butcher trays instead of disposable palettes has worked beautifully and has really expanded the freedom my students feel to play with their pallets! Acrylic paint comes right off even when dry. I ordered several trays which nest completely for storage. One tray came with 3 small pock marks in the enamel on the bottom but I am hoping they will not become an issue.

Best palette for cold wax

I love this palette. I prefer using this kind of palette as it can be easily cleaned. I like using Messerschmitt scrapers and other scraping tools. I highly recommend this A+++!

Arrived with paint chipped in places

Works great but unfortunately it arrived with several places where the paints was chipped.

Extremely useful.

Perfect for acrylic paint mixing, and paint pouring over canvas. To clean, allow acrylic to dry, soak in warm water and easily peel everything off in large sections.
