Quality
The quality of materials was just what I was expecting. No cheap plastic or any pieces that will become brittle and break off. Really hoping to get some birds into the backyard. I already have one of these and put it on a telescoping pole and birds really seem interested.

It's a nice, well built house. We attracted residence right away. Unfortunately wrens got to the nest first and set up house.

Attracted tree swallows in under 5 minutes!
In the short time I have had these two bird boxes I've had 2 sets of mating pairs of swallows move in. They are both raising their second brood as I write this. Watching them swoop for flying bugs (read: Misquitoes) is a real treat. I look forward to putting up more of these boxes -- plenty of bugs for all!

I have several bluebird houses and I really like that mesh wire platform. In the past I have had trouble with blow flies attacking the babies before they fledge, Hopefully this will help solve that problem!

The photos Lie
I was a more than a bit disappointed to learn that the photos of the "hardware, which helped me decide on my purchase, were fake. The house I received had no hinge like that, and the big dark thing, which I didn't know what was but expected to be some nice hardware, didn't even exist. I feel like I am owed partial payment back.

This is a very nice nesting box. The description is a bit misleading. It does not come with 2 predator guards. Only one is attached. Thankfully it’s the one I need for Eastern Bluebirds. You do need to drill your own whole and supply your own hardware for mounting. It is a nice looking box, nicely finished. Would be five stars if the description was more accurate.
