We are rotating two of these bowls for outside use during the prolonged heat wave. They really keep the water cool for a long time in the shade.

Leak brown chemical residue from underside

Great concept but bad design. I've bought five of these bowls and they all leak a brown residue from the underside seam. This leaves a mess and the chemical leaking out cant be healthy for pets.

Cooling Dog Bowl

It's just the right shape for our dog. She seems to prefer it over other bowls we have for her, as we keep water for her inside and outside our home. I definitely recommend it.

My cats love it!

My cats love ice water and instantly took to this bowl. I originally ordered two to rotate in the freezer & keep one cold all the time then ordered two more. They don’t stay cold as long as claimed but still way longer than traditional bowls. They do sweat but just use a placemat indoors. I've noticed our barn cat drinking more water and laying against it to cool off. I’m a fan!

Water stays COLD even in Phoenix summer

This is wonderful! I'm in Phoenix, and the critters here desperately need water in the summer. This bowl sits in the shade in 100+ degree heat and the water stays cold for the entire day!! I'm so happy I found this product. My stray neighborhood kitties and visiting birds definitely love it.

Keeps water cool.

I was hesitant to make the purchase but ended up buying two and they work really well. Of course don’t let them sit in the sunshine all day.

Very disappointed!

I bought 10 of these bowls for my 4 out door cats. These days the temp has been above 90 degrees.

Not Impressed

I purchased this bowl because it does have fairly good reviews but am disappointed in it. We had our first 82 degree day & I had in the freezer ready to go. Placed it outside in the afternoon and the icy coldness was soon gone. It didn't take long for the water to become very warm due to the bowl being plastic. I did read somewhere it may be helpful to set a stainless steel bowl inside it so will give that a try. Wish this bowl was made of stainless steel as stainless steel without the use of ice/freezing will not heat the water up like plastic.

Great large water bowl

Great large water bowl for outdoors. It was hard to find a large bowl that wasn't stainless steel or ceramic. Wanted something that wouldn't get as hot in summer. The fact that it is a cooling bowl you can freeze to keep cold for hours was a bonus. Large capacity so you don't need to refill as often. Great purchase.

Kitties love having cool water to drink.

I love the K&H Cooling bowl. Stays cool just like it said and my cats love drinking out of it because it has the wide opening.

Great for Outside Use

Wish I had found this product sooner. It really works to keep water or wet food cool outside.

Difficult to use

I ordered the very large version of this bowl, then found I had difficulty fitting it into my freezer. I realize that's one me, too much competing ice cream, etc. But here's the thing: After going to all the trouble, and even adding ice into the bowl itself, it didn't seem to stay cold that long. Maybe 4 or 5 hours. Granted, we've been having a terrible heat wave here in CA. Our area reached 121 degrees, so maybe it's unreasonable to expect it to stay cold for long. I wanted to help out our outside semi feral cat with this purchase, but he doesn't seem to go to it much. Instead, he chooses the old stainless steel bowls. The raccoons who visit nightly do seem to love it, though, and turn it into a muddy play toy. I've stopped trying to wash it out and fit it back into the freezer. It just doesn't seem worth it. And once it's used by outside animals, I'm thinking, do I really want it back in my freezer? I don't have that much confidence in my ability to scrub. I do, however, really like the K & H filtered water bowl which I purchased recently for my inside cats, but his one, doesn't really work for me. It is heavy and weighted, though, so won't tip over easily, making it acceptable for general use. I just don't think the freezing function does all that much for the trouble.

Perfect for warmer days outside

Purchased this to keep the water cold on warmer days as my pups prefer to play in warm water than to drink it. Following the instructions provided helped. We also tried just throwing it in the fridge instead of freezer for the same amount of time and it does work, but not as well as it would have frozen. Definitely recommend if your dogs love playing outside all the time. Price point was kind of high though
