Hard to find Kitchen use item

These are so hard to find....none available unless ordered online. These are great for many kitchen and misc chores.

Rusted immediately

These are utter garbage. The hinge pin that allows it to open and close rusted almost immediately, and they are now more or less seized shut. Very disappointing.

Straightforward Tongs

They work wonderfully. A little stiff to open and close, but I imagine that will decrease with use.

Useless

Cheaply made. Husband could not manage to open up the tongs.

Well made

Well-made not flimsy. They look like they will work well. I haven’t used them yet but they look like they will last awhile. Good price. I ordered them yesterday and they came today so shipping is really fast. Just what I needed!

it sticks very tight and it is difficult to open and close - it should not be this way for quick easy handling of food and with my arthritis my hand hurt it gripped together so tightly

They are a little stiff so that takes a little getting used to.

Good solid tongs

Like the closed handles, don't become entangled with other items in a drawer. Good quality. Wish they had different lengths to choose from.

Love that they are extra long so you don't get hit with oil and holds your tortilla up to make the taco shell or to lift

Pivot rivet needs a redesign

Pivot rivet is the weak point. Each tong arm is solid and very good quality. However, the pivot rivet is a solid iron rivet. It is smashed to enlarge it to keep the tongs together, yet the tongs will separate with use. They should've used a hollow rivet that gets folded over to enlarge its diameter outside the tong. I couldn't put the tongs back together. I bought 2, but before the 2nd one failed the same way I took them outside to concrete steps to smash with a hammer to enlarge the rivet. I suppose I could've used a pop rivet to replace the solid one that gets smashed to enlarge it to hold the tongs together. Also, because it is iron, it rusts when soaking with the rest of the dishes. I thought the tongs were working out the rivet again, because the scissor action was getting stiff again. When I noticed the rusting at the rivet, working the tongs broke up the rust to free up the tongs. If I had thought of using a rivet, it would be aluminum. The rivet was poorly designed, especially considering how good were the tongs. I still have the 2nd pair that haven't fallen apart (after I smashed the rivet to enlarge it to prevent the tongs working off the rivet), but they still rust requiring working them several time to free up the tongs. I'm now looking for a replacement.

Good tongs

This was to replace a pair of tongs we lost. Those were smaller than this one so we are going to have to get used to the bigger size. They would have received a 5-star rating if not for the size.

Too tight and don't move easily w hff en I have them between my fingers. Would like to return.

I long these tongs. They have a comfortable handle and the ends are good for turning fish sticks ect. in the oven with ease.

Quality Insulated Grips - Tongues Stay In Place

Great quality with very big finger grips that are well insulated. Really long so your hands are not near the heat. Not flimsy and are tight so whatever open/close level they are at is where it stays; you don't need to have constant pressure on it while using as it will stay gripped to whatever you are turning.

Sturdy tongs, what a shock

Very glad to find them to be much more sturdy and rigid than expected (you know how tongs usually are).

Good deal

For the price, these are just fine. They do what they are supposed to do with no fear of them bending or breaking. Plus, withe their size, you can grasp onto very large items.
