Not so great

This item is made in China. It arrived with a chip in the enamel on the outside of the top rim of the skillet. I will be returning this product.

Tramontina Enameled Cast-Iron 10-in. Skillet

Beautiful pan that cooks like a dream! Take proper care of it and it will last for many years.

made a egg in it

It needs a little seasoning but nothing crazy. It is nonstick , but be mindful cast iron doesn’t like high heat. Eggs should be cooked under medium.

[Rewarded Review] Buy it!

I loovvveeee this cast iron skillet. It is very durable and honestly heavy (the top is as well). I have used it a few times and it’s very easy to clean and food doesn’t stick. I would buy it a thousand times. Can’t wait to make more dishes with it.

Had no experience with enameled cast iron and now I will never go back to pre seasoned! This pan is absolutely perfect. Cooks extremely well and clean up is a breeze! Soap doesn’t affect the pan or taste of food.

If I could still return it I would. This is by far the WORST frying pan I have ever had. Everything sticks to it. Cornbread falls apart. It was not cheap, but at least I found a use for it. Since it is way too heavy for my wife, it occurred to me it will make an excellent anchor for my fishing boat.

Not What I Was Expecting...in so many ways

Tramontina makes wonderful pans generally and most of them are USA or Brazil produced. Their Enamel line as far as I am concerned does NOT fall into this category...and it is made in China. My pan isn't gradated, though it says it is, and though it came in a Tramontina box it doesn't say Tramontina on the bottom, just Made in China. I did question that, and was told that is normal.

It’s not the easiest to use. It’s very heavy and food sticks to it. I tend to use my lighter pans instead. It is beautiful though.

Would not recommend

I bought this online and when it was delivered, I took it out of the box, set it on my counter, and a big piece of the enamel fell off. Maybe mine was defective, but it didn’t seem like good quality if the enamel chipped off just from shipping.

Love cast iron for so many things. Great for heating tortillas. It is heavy, though!! But gorgeous. Made extremely well and colors are deep and vibrant.

Classic skillet. I was thinking about my beloved grandmother when I purchased this. My fiance and I moved in our apartment and I know it's crucial to have one of these in the house. She had one of these in her house and she made everything with her skillet. I already made fish with the skillet. Im so excited to make cornbread on the skillet and put it in the oven.

Beautiful pan. Food does stick once the pan heats up. Searched online everywhere for cleaning instructions, unable to access the Tramontina website, lost a star for that. Lost another star because the interior of the pan is so rough that it shredded my sponge and my washcloth. Also can not season it with oil and wipe the interior out with paper towel with out leaving paper shreds in the pan. I have been using cast iron skillets for over forty years and never have had this happen. The cooking surface should be smooth and this one is definitely not.

Love this pan! The color is beautiful and my first pan of cornbread came out perfectly. Tramontina is a great brand with good quality products for the price.

Love this skillet! Fist time buyer of this brand but very familiar with cooking with cast iron. Love the enameled outside pre-seasoned inside. REMEMBER Don’t wash with soap! I have a 9” which is limiting, this one is much nicer for families large dishes. Great for stove top to oven! You’ll love Steak made on this!!

Right now I am really unhappy with these pans I have used cast iron in the past and never has anything stuck like they do with these pans. One of them came with a chip on the handle and the 12 inch was not seasoned. I don't think I would recommend these pans

The Gourmet Non-Stick skillet is partially non-stick and the non-stick properties has a great deal to do with what is being cooked. The first fried food was chicken and most of the chicken's coating stuck to the bottom of the skillet; however, steak and pork chops did not stick. Also, the rim of the skillet, which is bare cast iron, requires seasoning at 350° for one hour or it will rust. That being said, the appearance and construction of the skillet is excellent but very heavy.

Classy Cast Iron

I purchased the 12 inch with lid first and was so pleased I bought the 10 inch. Great for corn bread/skillet pot pie/ and even pecan pies. All recipes from Southern Living. My Gramma cooked in cast iron only but I never had much luck. I ruined an heirloom by not cleaning and seasoning properly. These 2 pans are easy to clean, look great, and perform like Grammas did. I love that they can go in the oven for one dish dinners. They are more expensive than a plain old black cast iron though.
