Poor Quality Control

I returned this to HD. Metal trim ends were discolored, could not release one of the trim pieces to install.

This grab bar does what we needed and doesn’t look like a medical device. It matches the bronze accessories in our bathroom.

I got these grab bars because the brown color was similar to my existing towel bars and I didn’t want my toilet area looking like a public restroom. The bars are strong however the finish on them is cheap. They get scratches really easy and can also chip off. For the price you would think that would be better. They look nice though and I hope over time the finish will hold up.

Cheap quality and poor finish.

I needed 12" grab bar and it looked like Moen 16" bar. When I saw the package it looked cheap. The grab bar was vey cheap thin material and the chrome polish was the worse I have seen. The edges were sharp and gave me small cut. No way I am going to trust this bar with safety. It's being returned today. My sincere advise to Lowes is stop selling it.

Not super-shiny chrome, but decent. Strong. The only "chrome" 12" grab bar in a traditional style I could find on the Internet. I was satisfied but would have enjoyed the next level of quality in finish.

It works well and it was easy to install. The reason for the four stars is it still looks rather institutional. I had to get something that would not be too difficult to install so this was it. I do wish they would come out with more designer friendly grab bars.

Did not use this grab bar (which I ordered in bronze) in the bathroom. Rather, I had it put up to use as a grab bar going to my first landing before my staircase. I'm handicapped and it works wonderful in assisting me to step up without getting hurt.

Purchased 3 of these at the same time in oil rubbed bronze for our RV. Quality is good, color is good, seems durable. Had a coupon for free shipping, thankfully, they shipped them in three separate boxes.

This product worked in my shower but I had to have it install on an angle which was okay instead of a horizontal position that my husband wanted. When my handyman installed it we found that the studs in the wall were 16" apart and this bar was 24"long. So what I learned is you need to find the studs first then order the appropriate size.....lesson learned.

Installed the two grab bars for a friend that had knee replacement surgery. He weighs 235 pounds so a solid install was necessary. On the bar ends where I couldn't mount it directly to a wall stud, I used Wing Its type wall anchors that were available at The Home Depot. For the sides that had studs available I used 3" long construction screws from Grip Rite which I really like because they feature the non-slip Torx type head which I used with my De Walt Impact Driver. Install was done two weeks ago and all has gone well and my friend is very pleased with the grab bars and the sturdiness of the anchoring. Finish on the bars is attractive and I consider the easy for a person with good handyman skills.
