[Rewarded Review] perfect size, solid built, great lid
I love Sit frying... this 12" Stir fry is perfect for one or two servings. The metal is thick stainless, spreads heat well. I use it on gas range. Things will stick of course, so use a little oil, keep the food moving. The lid is superb, heavy duty, and glass, u can see through which is important. Handle does not get hot. Cleans up easy, use some bar keepers friend when required. Keep it shiny, less food will stick. I prefer stainless, as it wont transfer trhe non stick chemicals into the food. Stir fry is high temp, which makes the non stick coatings more vulnerable to coming off into food, so thick stainless is ideal IMO. Perfect pan for my needs! 5 stars
[Rewarded Review] The do it all pan!
The Cooks Standard is a beautiful pan. It is clearly well made, which is hard to come by these days. The pan has heft without being cumbersome and is shaped to handle frying eggs as easily as stir frying veggies. I have been looking for a solid wok for over 10 years and I've finally found my winner!
[Rewarded Review] Did not meet my expetations
I was excited to try a WOK since I have not used one for many years. The Multi-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Wok looked beautiful and I was interested to note it came with a Glass lid. I researched if I should or shouldn't "season" my Wok before using it and found mixed advice but decided to go with thr majority and "season". As directed I first washed my Wok and lid with a soft clean cloth and hot warer and then rinsed well and dried. I had been advised that I might have an issue with some smoking ,so used recommended Peanut Oil and opened some windows. Thank Heavens I did! Once I had preheated the Wok and added a tablespoon of the oil my house was immediately filled with smoke. I had to open doors and other windows and still experienced coughing , choking and eyes streaming.. Needless to say off to a rocky start. However I surrived and once pan cooled I again washed the pan with hot water and soft cloth. The pan did not come out completely clean but I hadn't expected it to. I used a recipe for a beef stir fry. I pre cut all the beef, onion, green peppers, broccoli, garlic so everything would be ready to add quickly. I preheated the Wok until it felt hot in the center, then added about 1and 1/2 tab. of the peanut oil and once hot, added my meat, then pushed it up higher in the pan and began to add the vegatables . While the Wok had browned the meat well it did not seem to remain consistent when adding the other ingredients. I was surprised and disappointed at how slowly the other ingredients cooked. I was expecting everything to cook quickly but instead I did not find this Wok cooking any differently than using a skillet, despite keeping the heat high. I did end up using the lid to help steam cook some of the broccoli, which was a nice feature and also was albe to use a higher heat on my gas stove than I normally would have cooked with. I did like he lid and the flat bottom of the pan, which enabled it to sit well on my stove. Overall, it is a beautiful Wok and able to hold and cook more food than most skillets, and food tasted good, but did not live up how I was expecting a Wok to cook.
[Rewarded Review] Excited to cook
The stainless steel wok with glass lid has been incredible for my favorite beef stir fry! It gets the perfect crisp on the rice as I’m frying and keeps the steel shiny even after many washes. I will have to get a handle pot holder for it but I have already shown it off to my sister and mom who want one for Christmas. It’s sturdy but yet not too heavy to be handled.
[Rewarded Review] Amazing Wok Pan!
The Cooks stainless steel wok pan with glass lid has been an amazing addition to my cookware. The pan is first off, beautiful and stunning to look at. The best part is that it heats evenly and quickly. I loved using it for my stir fry vegetables, and then added the rest of my ingredients. The clean up was easy compared to other steel pans I have used in the past. I would highly recommend this pan!
[Rewarded Review] Does the job
My 12 inch stainless steel wok strip fry pan worked perfectly. I recently cooked fried rice in it. The pan distributed heat evenly and nothing burned or stuck to the bottom of the wok. Clean up was a breeze. It performed as good as it looked.
[Rewarded Review] Great versatile pan
I received my Cooks 12" stainless steel Stir fry pan as a gift to try and review but I have to say I already use it more than most of my other professional chef pans I paid top dollar for. The heat distribution is phenomenal with this one, it cooked evenly throughout. The clean-up was a breeze with this one as well. I have heard of this brand before but never used them thinking it was just another average brand. That's the beauty of the trial program as you get to try and like products you would have never tried and been sold on. Definitely reccommend this brand to anyone!
[Rewarded Review] Decent wok
I've just used this for the first time yesterday. It is definitely non stick. I made chicken Fajitas in it and they came out perfectly. Cleaning the Wok was simple and it came clean pretty easily. The only reason for my 4 stars and not 5 is that I noticed after I cleaned it after only one use the inside of it looks a bit strange like it's old or something. I'm not sure why it did this but I have included photos.
[Rewarded Review] Nice Wok
Very nice sized stainless steel wok, lots of room for food, like that it includes a hardy glass lid. Handle is comfortable and easy to grip. Looks really nice next to my other cookware. Very easy to clean. I would recommend this wok, it’s a good sturdy wok!
[Rewarded Review] Must have if you love Stir-fry or noodles !
This is a must have if you love your stir-fry and noodles . We’ve used used it plenty of times to do both and always comes out amazing ! Makes sure to use some of the oil of your choosing , it’s not Teflon so you’ll get sticky . I like the fact that it’s deep so when you’re tossing around the food it’s not spilling all
