Fantastic Trash Ca

This trash can really surprised me and another family I purchased ine for. I kid you not when I say it fits more trash than any other 13 gallon can I've ever owned. For me, its shape fits much better, and with the automatic opening and closing, I'm no longer marking up the wall behind it. It's truly a great can in so many ways.

Convenient

Convenient that it’s motion censored, so a handful of rubbish will not hinder your access. The 13 gallon is a bit low (and I’m 5ft 4”), so one needs to bend abit, so get the bigger size or a bin stand. It has a good range of detection so passing too close to it triggers it to open.

Beautiful stainless steel finish, sturdy heavy duty base and top fit on perfectly. I almost didn’t want to take the plastic off (not wanting to get it dirty) but then I realized, it’s a garbage can!

A friend told me about this chrome and black trash can with a remote sensing lid. it needs 4 C Batteries which I don't think was in the product description. I find this simple ring holding design makes better use of my 13 Gallon Kitchen Trash Bag than my old manual trash can! Odor is well maintained. I usually only go through a bag or two a week. Highly recommend!

Nice trash can

This trash can is really nice. Motion sensor works as expected and closed out automatically after certain amount of seconds. If you touch the lid while it's opening, lid won't fully open. One thing that is not convenient is whenever I try to replace trash bag the ring between the body and the lid takes apart from the body.

too short

I had a nice tall motion sending trash can that finally died after several years so I wanted to buy a new one. this one states it's 23.6 in height but that's wrong. it's 22.5. And that's with the lid on... very short. I'll be returning because of that.

Low quality!!!

I was really excited about this garbage can…until it came. It had a small dent in it but I didn’t feel like going through the headache of returning it but I should have. It decides when it wants to work!! Sometimes the sensor is on point and other times you have to wave your hand in front of it multiple times before it opens. The plastic pieces that are supposed to hold the batteries fall off easily so after losing and accidentally throwing away one I had to tape the batteries in both sides which is a pain since the batteries run out every few days even with the expensive brand. The lid doesn’t fit on correctly so you can still smell the garbage sometimes so now I use scented garbage bags. If I could give zero stars I would!!!

Best Automatic Trash Can EVER!

I purchased trash cans from Bed Bath %26 Beyond previously that only lasted a short period of time.

Great Product BUT......

Works really good. I've had one before. If there is a drawback to this hands free trash barrel is the fact that it's battery operated with " Four C Batteries" which for a good brand can be expensive. They will have to be changed a couple times a year depending on how much you open and close the barrel. Overall great, sleek product.

Pretty Good

It holds a good amount, and is easy to use. One major downside is you have to replace the batteries pretty frequently; they seem to get used up very quick. I had to replace them after only three weeks of use, and considering the type of batteries it takes, it gets expensive. Better to just use it as a normal trash can and not use the lid sensor.

Lid doesn’t last long.

It was great for a few months and then the lid started opening only halfway. The lid also stopped closing, but will continuously keep trying to close, running down the batteries. Contacted company and they said it was past the return window. Asked the company if I could buy just another lid and they said they do not sell just the lids. Very disappointing.

I do not like this trashcan or it’s designed.

This trashcan is too big. Every time you pass it, the lid opens and shuts. The battery placement is ridiculous as we lost the battery cover in the trash and didn’t realize it. Now we don’t have one. We’ve had to tape those big old batteries in so they don’t stay in perfect and you have to readjust them from time to time. I really wish my husband hadn’t bought this trashcan. Bigger isn’t better. Bad battery placement.

My first one broke before a year was up. I got this one and the lid sometimes opens immediately and sometimes takes more waves over the sensor to open it. I loved my first one. Worked without a hitch. A little disappointed in this one. But they are the same item

Uses batteries up quickly

I put batteries in the following day of it arriving and it died within a week of using it. So now I just manually open the trash can. To note i did use energizer brand of batteries. I guess i'm glad it was discounted when i bought it because its not worth the regular price and its not even worth the discounted price. At this rate of having to replace batteries weekly I will exceed the original cost of the trash can in no time.

The trash can does open automatically but it seems to be a delay and I noticed that you have to waive your hand across the top of the can at the right spot for the senor to open the top. How're just when you think you've figured you've found the spot sometimes it still want open. I wouldn't buy it again nor spend anymore money on a trash can that's more expensive than this one.

Top and bottom is plastic.Poor quality.

Not has description. Top and bottom is plastic also poorly made. Not worth even $20. Last year I bought this type of several 13 gallon stainless steel trash cans from Walmart from different sellers for $39 those all are very good quality. Only this one I received a poor quality. Returning I paid for Stainless Steel not for Plastic.

This product is a crap!

The sensor stopped working in less than 2 months. The lid does not close automatically and it makes so much noise. The return process from Walmart is even worse. The online return gave option to drop product at the store and when I came to store to drop item they are saying they could not print return label and I need to call customer service. It’s such waste of time. May be I should not buy any products from Walmart market place.

Awful timing

Sensors are not effective. It takes a lot to activate when you need to use it. Other times all you need to do is walk by and the lid flies up. I pick the lid up when I need to use it. Now I have an overpriced but cute trash can. Yes, my “C” batteries are new. I’ve owned the product 2 months. Changed batteries twice to see if that would remedy the issue. Sadly, no improvement. 1 star for Disappointment.

It’s pretty to look at but only works 50% time

This is one of the prettiest automatic trash cans that Walmart sells. I purchased it at about half off during Black Friday. However, it was very frustrating to have the top only open half the time. Many other non-automatic stainless steel cans sold for more so by itself I still believe it’s a decent trash can for the price. It has a nice interior lining and it feels solid and sturdy. I recommend it.
