checkers are not magnetic

The checkers are NOT magnetic. the checkers will not stack easily when its made a king in the game. the checkers do not stay in place when stored. My game arrived used instead of new because the former owner put their names on the bag. otherwise the chess set is nice.

Exactly what I was looking for!

My kids and I wanted a set that was magnetic because I have a 3 year old that slaps stuff sometimes and we didn't want to worry about the pieces moving much. This set did the trick!

Great Quality Chess Board

Really like the quality of the chess board and the magnets at the bottom that ensures the pieces stay in place. Coins that came with the bottom are also good. Trying to teach my kid how to play chess this is a perfect chess board to start with.

It is very nicely made, and the storage of the pieces is good. It also comes with a carrying case.

Buyer beware!

This looks like a well made chess set. However, the wood is not finished. The top is dull and the sides are rough. I would rather pay a little more for a nice looking chess set!
