Nice looking piece

This piece is pretty and functional when finished. While the directions are very clear, it took several hours to assemble. The top locking pieces on the sides show and you have to put a sticker over them. These should have been set inside the piece.

Assembly is a bear. Not worth the price paid.

This File Cabinet is Beautiful!

This File Cabinet is Beautiful! Delivered Early! Packed well! It took my husband and I about an hour to put it together... we took our time and the instructions we easy to follow. Honestly, we were going to put the file cabinet in the closet... but after we built it and realized how beautiful it was, we found a place for it in the office!!

Solid contruction and great color - but with some minor issu

This was a companion piece to a desk from the same line that I purchased a few weeks earlier. This piece is of solid construction on the top and the sides, but the back of the cabinet has the veneer glued or taped on and when put together had some sections peeling off (like paper) Luckily it is up against the wall and it no one can see it. I was hoping for a more solid wood construction. Besides that, this piece completes my new office. The drawers are of standard size and fit hanging folders (but were smaller than my metal file cabinet where there was a bit more space with an adjustable track. )

Good enough

This item was easy, if tedious, to assemble. Instructions were clear. Numbered hardware containers made keeping track of the small stuff pretty easy. Most of the bags were recyclable, a definite plus. There was the occasional imperfection in the material. A few rubs and nicks. These were minor. One of the drawer fronts came without holes to screw in the locking mechanism. As I wasn't willing to wait for a replacement part, I simply glued it in place. My biggest complaint is the appliques for covering the visible hidden cams. They generally didn't match the veneer around the cam holes, so they are clearly invisible. It detracts from the overall appearance of the piece. But, all in all, I am satisfied on the quality for the money. I would note I found a wide variety of prices, so it paid to shop around for the best cost, cheapest shipping.

This is not what I thought I was paying for. It is a cheap, particle-board filing cabinet. Usually I'm satisfied with my other Wayfair purchases, but this was disappointing, especially because I payed about $100 more than the other options to make sure I was getting something of higher quality.

Stylish file cabinet

Great file cabinet and stylish. Drawers were hard to open the first time and one lock cam broken. But after taking it apart I got the lock fixed. Took a couple hours to assemble.

Arrived damaged

The package arrive with a large hole in the box. The pieces exposed looked okay, however when we started to unpack the item, multiple pieces had scratches on them. These weren't even exposed to the hole! Poor quality control, quite disappointed.

The overall cabinet is pretty good, it's very large which is nice, a good height. My only issue is that the wood wrap on the particle board started to peel as i was assembling it. It's not super noticeable, so I'm keeping it but I wish it was a bit tougher.

Worst purchase ever...

I would give this zero stars, if it were possible. Save yourself the time, money, aggravation, and buy a quality product for a little more money.

Beautiful!

Really beautiful and sturdy, I would definitely recommend! Assembly does take a while (2-3 hours), but is pretty straightforward. I suggest getting out all the parts and lining them up in order before beginning the process. The label stickers fell off of a couple of bags of screws so it was helpful to identify those before getting started.

Substantial piece, looks good

In the end this piece works well for what I need but it was, as others have noted, a project to put together. It took me about 3.5 hours in total, there are about a million pieces. I'm sure with another person it would have been faster. In the end it's a very solid piece and even empty, it's quite heavy. I dread ever having to move it. But it looks nice and stores a lot so I'm quite happy with it.

If you assemble with your spouse, the only thing you'll be filing is divorce papers.

AFTER OPENING THE BOX I NOTICE TWO PIECES WITH DAMAGE. THE BOTTOM DRAW FRONT HAD A SCRATCH AND THE REAR WALL HAD A GASH. I CHOSE TO ASSEMBLE IT ANYWAY AS I AM HANDICAPPED AND UNABLE TO RETURN A BOX OF THIS SIZE. NOW THE BOTTOM DRAW WILL NOT CLOSE AND SLIDES OPEN. PROBLEM YOU CAN'T TAKE THE DRAWS OUT DUE TO THE SAFTY MECHANISM AND NOW I HAVE TO TAKE THE TOP OFF TO GET THE DRAW OUT TO EVEN FIGURE OUT WHY IT WON'T CLOST. THE TOP ONE CLOSES BEAUTIFULLY. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH IT NOT WORKING AS IT SHOULD

Great buy!

Looks great with mid-century decor. A double lateral in this style is hard to find on a budget. You can have the files facing the side of the drawer or front so I got 2 rows of front-facing letter files. Very convenient. Well made. We're very happy with the purchase.

The quality is very bad. You’re paying for a plywood cardboard quality file cabinet. We received it damaged. We hired a professional handyman privately to install all our furniture we purchased on Wayfair, just be aware half of the things you get will be damaged but most are all bad quality products and aren’t real wood. We had to get this replaced because it would fall apart.
