After purchasing about 30 of these lights 2 years ago I have replaced over half and still going about one a month now great light output but verry frustrating to spend 100 bucks a piece on them and not stand behind them not to mention now i have another job to then replace it home depot should really take them off the shelf there junk do not buy
Works great, mounted it on a 10’ high garage ceiling. It’s like the sun landed in my garage, extremely bright. Way better than stringing up several regular lights.
33% Failure Rate in less than 2 years
I bought 18 of these lights for our shop at work. They are bright and really helped the lighting in the shop. Unfortunately, 6 of the 18 LED drivers have failed (33%) and have had to be replaced (more labor). One of the 6 was a replacement for a unit that had failed. Commercial Electric had a bad run of these. Now I'm wondering how long they'll warrantee them for. Rated life is up to 60,000 hours. I guess ~3,000 hrs. is "up to" 60,0000.
The lights are working well for our needs. I wait to see how they work long term. So far we are happy with the lights.
Almost 100% Driver Failure
Purchased 30+ fixtures and have had over 90% of the drivers fail. Returns for these to Home Depot ended up being a big hassle. Called the company that makes these and spoke to an engineer. They are hiding the truth that there is a widespread problem. We are an electrical contractor so we tested the power extensively where they are installed and could not find any issues.
These lights are garbage
I have 18 installed in my residential garage/shop and in less then 2 years I have had to replace 3!
The slots on the attachment cover were misplaced, preventing the light to be positioned properly. I put spacers between the ceiling plate and the joist to align the light.
Garbage
I bought 4 of these lights for my shop 8 months ago. Two of them went out 2 months ago and now the other 2 are out this morning.
Does not last ...
I bought 4 of these lights for my garage. They are LED so you expect them to last. 18 months in 2 have failed within 2 weeks of each other. I'm guessing the other two are next.
Driver Failure
I bought 10 of these for use in my shop, and the drivers have already failed on two of them. Since they are hardwired, pulling it down and returning it to HD is a nonstarter. Customer service was interested only in the purchase date and returning the light - they could have cared less about what I was telling them.
Great light, does not last long though
I bought 16 of these for my shop in 2021, starting in early 2023 they started dying, according to the box it says 60k hour service life, that's 7 years on 24/7, which means i should have gotten over 10 years out of them, kinda pathetic to say the least, another one just died today
garbage, don't buy..
these lights suck for commercial use. mounted to a 12' ceiling is not recommended since the drivers fail very often. i have to replace these lights more often than a regular incandescent light bulb. they can at least put a computer plug on them so i can just unplug them to return them instead of taking them apart to take out the cord and reinstall the cord on the new light. at this point im stuck because we have like 40 of them. i wouldn't recommend this product.
Pure junk
I purchased 4 for a new shop. 9 months later 2 went out within 2 wks of each other. Home Depot took the first back and exchanged no problem, but didn’t want to take 2nd one back. They finally agreed and I replaced it as well.
This is the second RV Garage that I've used these lights in and they work great. Very bright.
Bought one and it started flickering as soon as I turned it on. Replaced it and put the second one up and it ran fine for four days and started to not come on every time. Exchanged it for a different light
Prone to failure
I bought 3 of these to install in a customers garage. Worked great for 9 months and then one started to flash. HD would not refund the fixture so I bought another. Shortly after another went out and I had the same experience. Then the icing on the cake is the one we just replaced went out again after a month. The customer just emailed me and said the third one has started flashing. I don't feel right charging the customer for the trips it's taken to replace. This fixture is COSTING me money.
Quite Good
I've had three in my garage for four years. Two days ago one of them failed, the power supply. The manual sites a five year warranty, but refers the owner to HD. HD referred this owner back to the manufacturer. Too many trips to HD, too much time with reduced lighting in my garage, I just purchased another. I really do like the unit and if the new unit lasts four years, I will be pleased. I still recommend these units to friends, when the subject comes up.
Garbage - Fail in months
These lights are garbage, they seem to fail before the 1 year mark. They start to strobe. I’m now on my 3rd replacement and this one only lasted about 8 weeks. Don’t waste your time and money on these lights.
Installed 7 lights 3 weeks ago, the drivers have gone bad on 2 of them already. Now i have to go replace them on my time.
Just say NO! Unreliable.
I am the maintenance technician for a property management company. We started installing these about 3 years ago and stopped a year ago. There has been more than a 25% failure rate, one in just 2 weeks.
