I needed to replace a similar shrub.
My plant arrived perfectly packaged and in amazing shape. It is very healthy and thriving in its new home. I will definitely buy more plants from Home Depot in the future.
Plant arrived quickly and in great shape. Having plants delivered can be very risky through some companies, but not Home Depot, they are excellent!
Not for Zone 9
The plant arrived in great shape. I unpacked it immediately. I live in Phoenix, so I kept iy watered as recommended. It spent a few days inside in indirect light. Then in complete shade outdoors. It immediately died in the heat. I only know my own zone, but it's definitely not for zone 9. I was in no hurry, I was prepared to let it acclimate a long time and put it in the ground in full shade once the temps let up. Nope.
Be careful if shipping to your home. Home Depot sped up the delivery date by 3 days without my consent, which resulted in the pkgs being delivered while I was out of town, then stolen before I got home. Resolution was a problem.
Arrived in spring dumped & did not bloom
While FedEx delivery mishandled, box was way too big for plant & should be sent in more appropriate packaging so FedEx hopefully does not treat as awkward, as it was difficult to carry. Though soil was completely dumped out, I immediately planted. It settled in & grew bit, but no blooms or even hints at buds though it should have been in position to flower given its size upon arrival/timing otherwise. Price would have been reasonable for an Itoh peony but not for what I received.
Plant arrived beat up and looking like its about to die due to the long distance shipping. This is my second return order
Do not purchase
As, a now former customer of both Home Depot and National Plant Network, they sent me an infested bush-an invasive species of spider mites that was not here before. And after all damages- now I'm getting the runaround. I will never buy from this company or this nursery again.
It does not look healthy , it won’t live long. Waste of money!
Plant had died in long transport from east coast to an island off the coast of Washington
Small butterfly bushes with no blooms upon arrival. They are alive though and made it through shipping.
Delivered during hottest week of the year. Te,ps hovering arond 100F. Looked ok when planted, just a litlle wilted. Perked up witin a week (- ;
Two arrived in perfect condition, one arrived damaged and was returned to store. Hope the other two will survive the Florida weather. Love peonies
The plant was almost dead!
My plants came with limbs broken and nearly dead. The shipping boxes did not indicate which side war up causing one plant to be delivered upside down.
I did not receive the product I ordered. Instead, I received 2 butterfly bushes - 1 labeled blue and the other unlabeled, so I have no idea what it is.
Plant arrived mostly dead.
Beautiful, full and healthy with dark green leaves. Home Depot is now by go to place to purchase all plants.
The plant arrived ok but it is not the two tone Buddleia I ordered. I only see purple flowers on it.
I am an experienced gardener. I was concerned because the plant got delivered during the worst heat of the summer so far. It did not look terrible when it arrived. I babied it and got it hardened off so that I could plant it when the temperatures dropped. When I did plant it, I was disappointed to see that the bottom half of the pot was just loose soil and there were not many roots for the size of the plant. I suspect that the grower actually had just dug the plant and plopped it in a pot as opposed to being container grown. This really adds to the stress for summer planting. So time will tell but I probably will not purchase from Home Depot again for this reason.
