These chairs came in a nice sturdy box. No damage or scratches on the chairs. They were also easy to assemble. Nice retro look.

I would not recommend putting these together solo. Unless you are a Houdini octopus. I managed some how but they scratch and dent easily. Not worth the price. I wish I would have bought the ones that were on sale of similar style and same brand. I don’t think they will last well.

Love these chairs and the matching glider. The color is beautiful and they are comfortable. Reminds me of the vintage chairs my grandmother had. I recommend them

High Quality Retro Looking Metal Porch Seating

The Bates Turquoise Chairs appear to be high quality. They were fairly easy to assemble. You may need two people to get the last bolt secured. They provide a fun retro look for your porch.

Love these vintage look chairs. They have that small amount of bounce/give if you want to rock just a smidge, as I was hoping for. Definitely need two people to assemble at various stages of assembly. Tip: At first I panicked a bit and thought the spread was too wide for the seat. But then saw that the extra space was to accommodate the plastic washers. Also, it matters which side the round plastic washers face the bolt head. Thankful for a helpful son-in-law!

These are beautiful and sturdy. All the parts were undamaged. I am a 65 yr old who put these together with no help or problem at all. All the parts you need, plus extra hardware and tools are included. The trick is keep all the bolts loose and apply way more pressure to the last bolt then you think it can take. (It will be fine). Then go back and tighten all the bolts. Directions are clear. Love this set!

Love the chairs, buy with confidence

This review is for the Bates Turquoise chairs. I love the color and the retro style. They've been assembled and on my deck for over a month. So far so good. They dry off quickly after a spring rain. I don't have to bring anything inside. Assembling these chairs did require a second person for the last step. Definitely leave all of the bolts as loose as possible until the final step. For the final step you have to squeeze the two arms together to get the final bolts in place. It wasn't hard to figure out how to assemble it. But is would be impossible to squeeze the arms and put in the last bolts without help. The compression is a good design feature. The chairs feel solid once assembled and not rickety at all.

The chairs are beautiful and were easy to assemble. They are comfortable and have enough spring to allow for gentle movement. The color and finish are exactly as pictured.

Fabulous retro

These "retro" chairs are fabulous. I bought a tropical flower rug for my front porch and the turquoise color of the chairs perfectly matches one of the flowers in the rug. It is beautiful.

These chairs are beautiful and are good quality, but they are NOT comfortable in the least. The vintage chairs they emulate were comfortable because they had a slightly "leaned back" positioning...these are straight backed and straight up! I do not recommend them unless they are strictly decor.

These chairs are incredibly hard to put together by yourself. Enlist a second set of hands if you can. I did manage to get them together on my own but I literally had to sit on the arm to force it down far enough to get that last screw in. They do look cute on the patio but they are not as comfortable as the antique ones. The back on these are more upright.

The pop of color I needed!

Awesome... I love these new chairs. A little challenge assembling on my own, but I did it and I'm very happy. The color is perfect. Little by little this balcony is coming together. If you order these, you will not regret it.

Beachy Turquoise Chairs for My Tropical Getaway

The chair parts were packaged well and came without dents or scratches. Good quality parts and sturdy. Paint job and color on the chair parts is beautiful. Instructions easy to follow. Hardware nicely packaged complete with extra hardware. Make sure you read the part in the instructions to tighten all the bolts last. I didn't see that instruction for my first chair. I tightened all the bolts as I assembled the chair. I was flummoxed by the pressure that I had to exert and difficulty lining everything up for the last bolt. After I read that part about tightening the bolts at the end, the second chair assembled like a breeze. Assembly isn't all that time consuming, but you have to have patience and take your time. All the patience and work to assemble them is worth it for these pretty, pretty chairs! When you sit all the way back in the chair, the chair back presses in a little bit right in the middle, but not a problem for me. My porch looks beachy and tropical with the new chairs. I grew up with the same style chairs in the 70's so buying these chairs for my porch was easy!

Pretty but lack some comfort.

Arrived as expected well packed. Easy to assemble. Quality of paint and components seems excellent. Action of chairs is pretty stiff, may relax over time. No contour to seat or back so not as comfortable as other metal chairs but prettier. May add a cushion to help comfort.

Sturdy chairs, beautiful color

Love the color of these chairs and they seem very sturdy. I wish they had a bit more 'give' in them as they don't seem to bend at all when I sit in them; as upright chairs they are not very comfortable. Hoping they will be less stiff with time. One small imperfection in the paint on the seat of one chair (see second picture)-- not enough of a problem to return but noticeable to us. We ordered 4 chairs and my husband put them together in about 3 hours. First one was the hardest as the assembly instructions were a bit lacking (a challenge to put the top and bottom together with the top laying on the floor; you have to get your hand underneath the top to fasten the bolts, so it isn't really possible to assemble as pictured). The part that really required two people was bolting the 2nd arm to the chair. All bolts, washers, etc. were well packaged and labeled, with extras provided. All the holes lined up as intended!

The chairs are beautiful and very comfortable. The color is a little more green than I usually consider turquoise, but a wonderful tropical accent. Definitely need two people to assemble- they have to be held in place to get the screws into position to hold. It doesn't seem like it should be that difficult- but we tried multiple different sequences and it was a wrestling match every time (bought 2 sets). Still, once they were together it was worth it.

Great product

I love these chairs, remind me of my childhood going to my grandmothers. The chairs are beautiful and the color is as the picture shows. You will need two people to assemble, and assembling is not hard, putting the last screw in the arm you will need someone to push the parts together while putting is the screws. I also like that the company included extra parts, but the wrenches they send is not that great you will probably want to use your own tools. The quality of the chairs are great and worth the price. I would purchase again.

Purchased these for extra waiting space outside of my restaurant. I love the color pop. It did take more than one set of hands to put them together though. :( Once we got started and I had some help, it really wasn't hard though. Go ahead and grab the rechargeable drill, it will make it go so much quicker.

This patio set up with the stove that I also purchased from Wayfare is actually such a fun place to sit in the evening with friends and relax. The chairs are extremely extremely heavy duty they will definitely not fly away. They were very easy to assemble. They add the splash of color to the entrance of my home.
