hard to find
The product is fine, but longer than I wanted; however, there were only 2 or 3 flare end hoses in stock,versus several dozen 1/2 inch fip. It's hard to find anyone with these in stock nowadays. I'm glad Lowe's had at least a few. I guess this type of connection is obsolete nowadays.
Do not trust recommendations
I ordered what was recommended on website but installer said it was not correct…I will return

the braided hoses are great!!
BUT you must know which kind of valve you need to put it on. My first purchase was wrong for me. I returned it and got the correct one and it was great.
It fits perfectly, however one leaked
One of the four that I ordered did not have an inside washer so it leaked when it was installed. My project was delayed because of this. Next time I will check for inside washers.

I removed the 40+ year-old part that was leaking and took it to Lowe's. The "old-school" rubber washer that had failed was not available. The Lowe's associate quickly offered this product to replace the rigid copper tube and flare nut assembly. This new part went on easily with no leaks. I knocked off one star for not stocking the cheap rubber washer nor the 16" version of this supply line. But, for about $7 it wasn't worth searching other plumbing supply retailers nor online for lower cost solutions. Excellent associate recommendation, relatively inexpensive DIY solution, very easy install and no leaks.
