Kitchen Backsplash using Ceiling Panels

I saw this DIY idea on social media one day and thought it would try it for an easy pick-me-up for my blah kitchen. I used the 2' x 4' matte white vinyl ceiling tiles for this project and glued them right to the existing tile. Pretty amazing transformation with very little time and effort. I added the before and after photos so you can see for yourself what a few hours and very little cost can do to update a space.

Easy to install (used scissors and Loctite) and has a great effect. Changed the feel of our dining room instantly. I ordered real tin samples from a competitor and couldn’t believe how similar these looked to the real thing, without the very sharp edges and complicated installation. Highly recommend.

Love these tiles!

These tiles are fantastic! They are light and easy to cut with scissors. Now , there are a couple of things: 1) have three people to install. The 2' x 4' panels are too big and flexible so 2 people on ladders and 1 to check the lines. 2) use Loctite Heavy Duty glue. 3) make the overlap away from site lines! 4) we used a j channel. Luckily, the white matched with the cheap channels from Lowe's. Home Depot sells the j channels for the Fasade brand. The light was also purchased from Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Going to be honest. Was not at all satisfied with this product. They seemed very cheaply made. They looked horrible and decided to take the pieces I had up down because they just looked cheap.

Used it for a back splash in my kitchen over my black counter and it brittened the whole kitchen upeasy to put up and cut and cleans like a breeze very good use for the ceiling tiles

These panels added style and covered up the old popcorn ceiling. Installation went smoothly by following the enclosed instructions. Looks wonderful in the new bath.

easy DIY kitchen and bathroom backsplash.

I purchased this to use as a backsplash in my country kitchen, and in the master bath around the walk-in tub. I wanted something waterproof and easy to clean, in white. This fits the bill. Easy to trim to fit, just glue it to the wall with construction adhesive. I love the pattern and found trim pieces to work with it easily. J channel for the bottom and top edges, and a corner piece for inside corners. If you are even mildly experienced with DIY, then give this a try. The packaging was excellent and ensured the corners of the panels were not damaged in any way. Instructions were also included. This saved me money by eliminating the need for quartz backsplash.

Easily installed!

Installs very easily. Looks great on the ceiling. Glue does not show through which i was worried about but apparently for no reason. Would buy again.

I used these tiles for kitchen backsplash. Painted them same as my cabinets from 1976 that I had already painted. Then I dry brushed them with gray accent I also used on cabinets to bring out the routing. Looks great in a country kitchen!

We loved these ceiling tiles! Easy to cut and since they are so light, they were easy to glue and install.

Faux Tin Ceiling

So easy to install...And looks great!

This ceiling tile is very easy to install and really brightens any room. I use it in my bnb and rental. Heavy duty snips work well with cutting pieces to fit.
