Good fire pit but bad mesh

Great fire pit, but only unfortunately only used it twice & the stainless steel mesh cracked. We didn't have a big or fire or heavy wood on it.

Replacement Fire Mesh

Purchased two weeks aago a replacement fire mesh for the Pop-Up Fire Pit, as the previous mesh on my pit finally gave way after a couple of years and a good 50 fires under it's belt. Unfortunately and to much disappointment, we are currently away on our annual Easter break and the replacement mesh basically started to disintegrate during the 3rd fire it had been exposed too. Unfortunately we are currently to far away from a BCF to look at having replaced and unfortunately for the rest of our holiday there will be no more fires. Would have to say that 3 uses is not acceptable at all and would expect BCF to replace without any issues. Maybe looking at other portable firepit solutions to avoid this happening again and ruining another family holiday

Split mesh again

Second mesh that has split in 6 months. No big hot fires or any other user caused reason

Replacement Part

I replaced this mesh fire pit base after the original one rusted through. It was quite a few years old & had seen plenty of use. We bought our original in the US, so I was chuffed to find I could get the spare parts here in Oz from BCF.

Why an extra Mesh?

Got an extra one to support heavy loads of wood, plus use as a cover when it gets windy, stops ash and cinders

This is a great fire pit and the replacement mesh last for about 50 nights. The whole set up is lightweight and very compact. Great when travelling in the van.

Great to use as a Ember/Spark retainer.

These are a great replacement mat for when you use yours all up.

Reasonable priced. Good spare but they do last a quite a while. Definitely recommend product.

Love the concept but hasn't lasted

I have used this approx. 6-8 times and love the ease of use but the mesh already has cracks and holes in it that is letting the embers through. Really do love the ease of use of this firepit and have enjoyed cooking in and over the fire but to have to be replacing the mesh so soon is really disappointing

Great firepit!

Love this firepit, it's compact, light and easy to use. Only downfall is the mesh only lasts about 5-6 times before it breaks. Have replaced it 3 times now. Not sure what we do wrong?!

Mesh for pop up firepit

Great product, works well. Carries 25 kg wood. Holds up well. Wood burns through well.

50 fires….. No way

Only used it once so far. Does the job. Bought it to replace the old one which wore out after only 10 fires. Whole thing will be binned when this one is done.

Best Fire Pit ever

Have had the fire pit for about 4to5 years and can't fault it lost count of how many hours of use.have had others liking it and we tell them where to buy one.

Buy a spare as back up

The fine mesh rolls well however we would have had only 15 - 20 campfires before the middle section droops down and fell out with burning logs and coals falling to the ground. Buy the ember silicon mat for safety. Don’t load it up as weight is its enemy. We made a square metal grill to sit on top of the mesh with weight evened on aluminium side rails to help hold weight of logs in the middle section. Tip is to buy a back up for when the centre of the mesh gives way - mesh burns and becomes brittle, falls apart. We love the low smoke fire pit for camping so we know to have two meshes.

Have to love a fire

Excellent,the mesh last a lot longer than they say probably 4 months of fires every night , maybe more . When the fire is going we put our wetter wood under the mesh ready for tomorrow.
