You get what you pay for
This is a relatively inexpensive set, and you can tell. It’s fine, but a bit of a disappointment. The controls are cheaply made, and despite showing multiple positions, it only has one flame height and that is underwhelming. Had a plumber in just to make sure it was installed correctly, but he confirmed it is. Also, read the description closely, Despite the fact that the photos on the website show a remote control, this unit is not remote supported,

This is exactly what we needed. There were other brands sold that were truly not vent free. This one turned out to be exactly as pictured and it will be installed for a safe and comfortable experience. Very realistic looking.
