Not a 52 Bottle

This holds 36 bottles maybe 40 if you slide some bottles further back. I would love to know where they got 52. Also shelves are very flimsy and cheap. So far it’s silent and chills well so that is the most important feature.

It's been a couple of years since we purchased the Newair 24" 52 Bottle Wine Refrigerator. It is still working perfectly. We recently relocated it from a storage area to our remodeled kitchen, and it looks great in its new location. The product arrived as promised with the best price available and has worked flawlessly. Only downside was that it was not easy to switch from a left opening door to a right opening door; best done by 2 people as the door is heavy.

[Rewarded Review] I would not buy this product again.

When I unpackaged the wine fridge there were screws rattling around inside the cooler, when I tried to put them back in where they had come out of, they wouldn't even screw back in. The Cooler is cheaply made, the shelves don't come out very far and you can not remove a bottle in the back without taking out the bottles in the front. Most of my wines of NAPA cabs so although it say it's holds 52 bottles I could only get in 31 bottles. Shelves are really cheap, I would not recommend purchasing this product. It does appear to a fairly accurate (within 3 degrees) of the temperature gage.

Loved it until last week - No Longer Works!

I did a lot of research when I was looking to purchase a wine cooler and I decided on this one. I loved the look of it, it held a lot of bottles of wine, and wasn't too loud. I purchased the extended warranty and it will be 6 years next month (December 2023) that I have had it and now it no longer works! It no longer gets cold - before the temp was at 40 degrees and now it won't go below 65. I have tried everything to restart it, etc. I paid $800+ for this and it certainly should have lasted longer than 6 years! So disappointed!

Overall, positive experience, with one caveat. Build quality is very good and the unit is quiet. Controls and LED lighting are nice and easy to use. After two months of use, we've had no major issues.

Nice looking unit but noisy

I purchased this unit 8 months ago and unpacked it and thought it looked great and fit perfect in my counter cutout. The unit stays at temp nicely but the last few months has begun making noise when it cools. When the compressor runs it makes a squeaking noise several times during the compressor cycle. At first I thought it was fine and I could get used to it but the more I hear it the more frustrated I get. I sent a recording to customer service and they told me that they were normal sounds for the compressor to make. I am just not buying this answer and would like New Air to do something about it, as I am still in the year warranty.

Great stylish under counter or free standing wine fridge

Recently purchased, came as expected. Easiest handle installation i have see on a wine fridge. Plugged it in after waiting the appropriate 2 hours and it was at temp about an hour later. Best feature is the sliding shelves. Have another similar fridge and without the slide shelves it was hard to see the bottles that are in the back without jossling all the bottles on that shelf. Overall great, would recommend again and again.

Near Perfect Experience...So Far

In service for 8 days with no problems...so far. Arrived with everything intact but with less-than-perfect bottom front grill. Still gave 5 stars because Anthony took my phone call and my email photo and immediately sent out a replacement grill. He also answered several questions. The quality of the customer service pleasantly surprised me. Runs quietly. Temperature is accurate within a degree or two (I used my refrigerator thermometer to test it). Temperature is uniform throughout the unit, which also pleasantly surprised me. I couldn't find a better value for the money. Believe me, I looked far and wide before pulling the trigger on this unit.

Nice fridge. Excellent customer service!

I had issues with the first 2 units I purchased from Best Buy. I was contacted by NewAir customer service and immediately offered a replacement. The replacement was shipped to me and does not have those issues. I really like this fridge. I love the styling and it seems to be well built. The shelves slide freely, no problem fitting my bottles on these shelves. So far it seems to hold a steady temp at 54 degrees. Nice that it can be a built in or free standing unit. The LED lighting is a nice bonus, too. Only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is the compressor could be quieter. I give the customer service I received 5 stars though.

The first wine fridge we received was damaged plus the power cord prong was broken so we couldn’t even plug it in. Wayfair made it super easy to get a replacement. The replacement was in great condition and I originally gave this 5 stars, but it has been making more and more loud and strange sounds when it cools. It is the loudest operating appliance in our kitchen. We don’t really want to go through the hassle of returningreplacing the item again. And at this point we are just dealing with it, which is unfortunate.

Nice wine fridge.

Have only had this for a couple weeks but so far so good. Keeps a good temperature and looks nice we have been keeping the light on because it looks cool!! The only issue so far is the vent piece below the door was bent/dented when we received it. So far we have been able to fit all our wine in it, no problem with bottle size. We usually have Pinots, Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs. There was a small clear acrylic "box" that came with it and have no idea what it is for. We replace our Kitchen aid that finally died and did not want to spend over $2,000 to replace it. The quality of the shelves are not as nice but they work fine.

First off, it arrived via Fed Ex well packed, no dents. I was a bit awestruck when I watched the delivery guy carry it, not wheel it up into my garage. Since he couldn’t bring it in the house, my neighbor, who has a dolly, and I wheeled it inside, unpacked it and placed it. All I had to do was attach the door handle and because the door was a little off kilter, I just has to loosen the bottom hinge and adjust it. It’s slotted where the screws are so it was easy to do,that and straighten the door. I then plugged it I and it fired right up. Since it’s only one zone, adjusting the temperature is easy. The temp display shows you the set temperature and the actual fridge temperature. I like that idea. I also like the strength of the wooden shelves and that they pull, out easily to put bottles on or take them out. This fridge also can accommodate champagne style bottles. I have a good supply of wine on hand so I immediately filled. It’s doing a great job at holding temperature and the fan motor is very quiet.

Very Satisfied!!

Just took delivery of our NewAir wine refrigerator. It was everything we hoped for. We have had six similar models in the past. The NewAir is quiet. Fits 40 bottles of wine & champagne comfortably. The temperature holds consistently. The wooden shelves provide easy sliding & offer bottle flexibility. The product is as described & performs as required! VERY satisfied with purchase & selection.....highly recommend!!

New air 24" single zone wine cooler

So far so good. Box was delivered in perfect shape. Unit was in near perfect shape. I had to adjust the screws in the door hinge to plum the door. The racks are a little crammed but I read that in other reviews. Also the height is only 33" which is rare and what I needed. It's Super quiet. Nice lights. Love it so far. Purchased the 3 year warranty so i don't have to worry.

Just got this wine refrigerator and so far so good. Had bad experience with another brand from Wayfair, lasted about 3 months and stopped working. This time I stepped up to better unit, at much higher cost. Everything works well. The door is off alignment a little bit, but operationally works fine. Unit holds lots of bottles. Cools down nicely. Wood shelves are v nice. Very quiet. At this price point I’m expecting a long lasting product!

Exactly what I was looking for!

I got this through a third party from my parents as a Christmas gift. I live in a high rise, so it was a little heavy to move by myself as it arrives via FedEx. When I opened the box, one side was dented as well as the front grate at the bottom. I was bummed and didn't know what to do. I decided to email the NewAir customer service department. They (Melissa) was so helpful! Without question or having to pay, she sent me a new front grate so that I could swap it out. I can live with the dent as you don't see it based on how I have it placed in my house. I LOVE my new wine refrigerator! It is so pretty, quiet and holds the perfect number of bottles for me. I HIGHLY recommend this one!!

Looks Nice - Waiting on replacement parts

So this was 2 of 2 units I bought to replace some bad Avanti units. For the built in, they are expensive so I'm frustrated that I had to replace so soon. I gave this product 3 starts for a few reasons. Also, I don't know if the one I got even works, as I'm waiting on replacement parts to arrive 1) Shipping - While double boxed, they still managed to drop the box really hard (causing damage inside) and something hit the side, denting the door. So, they are shipping me a new door. Then I finally unboxed today and saw that due to being dropped so hard, the inside control console had come off the screws at the top and was dangling down. I'm very mechanical and secured it with no problem. So I'm not dinging newiar on the shipping as that isn't their fault 2) Quality - Not better than my Avanti units, but then again, those look good but don't work. While the dual fridge has ball bearing sliders on the sides of the shelves, these don't.. So the fact that the units don't have the same stuff is interesting. Overall not impressed by this unit as it's just average. The customer support at Newair has been wonderful thusfar, so let's see what happens when my new door arrives.

Defective Feet Can't Level Unit

Purchased Unit from Home Depot and had unit shipped to the store. Item is shipped double boxed fortunately. Both boxes were damaged but unit did not sustain damage. The unit is intended to be leveled using the 2 front feet. These feet are plastic covered metal and are similar to a bolt threaded into the base of the unit. The feet are to be turned counter clockwise to thread them out thus raising the level of the front of the unit or turned clockwise to lower the front of the unit. The unit arrives with the feet turned all the way in. The front was about 1/4 inch to low. So, I proceeded to try and turn the feet counter clockwise to raise the front. The feet are very difficult to access and I had to place a board under the unit to raise it off the floor. At the factory, the feet were turned all the way into the base so tight, it was impossible to turn them out by hand and I had to use a pliers. I was able to turn the right front foot counter clockwise with a pliers however the feet are recessed and I mangled the plastic. The right front foot did loosen up and turn out properly. However, as I turned the left front foot counter clockwise with a pliers, I again mangled the plastic and noticed the foot was turning, but not coming out of the unit. No matter how many times the foot turns, it stays completely threaded into the unit. I used a flashlight to shine through the vents on the front of the unit and noticed the foot is threaded into a metal collar. The collar is intended to remain stationary as the bolt turns inside the collar. However on my unit, on the left foot the collar rotates with the threaded bolt. I tried to use a needle nose pliers the hold the collar stationary from under the unit, as I turned the foot with another pliers, but could not do it. All this is the result of the feet having been turned to tightly into the unit at the factory. This is totally unnecessary. Since the left foot is stripped, I can't level the unit using the feet. I am now having to use wooden shims under the front of the unit to make it level. Very aesthetically pleasing! Also, when I unpacked the unit and opened the door, there is a clear, square plastic cup about 4 inches long by 3 inches wide and 2 inches high, and a piece of black flexible rubber about 2 inches long and 1 inch wide and 1/4 inch thick. The manual has absolutely to information on these 2 pieces. They are not listed in the PARTS LIST and not mentioned in the section on ASSEMBLY and INSTALLATION. I have no idea what these two items are for, or where that are intended to be placed inside or outside the unit? A perfect example of how a lack of care and detail during assembly at the factory can cause major problems for the customer.

Would have LOVED to be able to install this

Bought the awr-520sb with the understanding, from this very website, that the width was going to be 22.40-inches. This would have fit nicely in my current cabinet installation with minimal modifications. After ordering one, hauling it home, unpacking, bringing inside ready to use I grab a tape and measure. Guess what? The width is actually 23.5-inches!! Too wide for my installation into existing cabinetry. Had a cabinet guy come out and give me an estimate to rebuild. One-Thousand bucks. NOPE! Please New-Air have someone update your dimensions on this site. I wasted much time and effort. I do like this refrigerator but could not make it work.

The wine cooler is doing a good job of keeping...

The wine cooler is doing a good job of keeping wine at the set temp. However, there is no way to get 52 bottles in this cooler unless you have no larger bottles or you want to risk breakage. I had about 46 bottles and had a very difficult time fitting them in. The worst part for us was the set up. Right out of the box we noted that one side was dented on the bottom right. We had already gotten the cooler in the house, unboxed and where we wanted it, so the thought of taking it back for a dent that really didn't affect the function was unappealing. But after we put the door handle on and were closing the door the door fell off, the top right hinge was defective. So we had to switch the door around, which proved very difficult and required specialty tools which we fortunately had. I would give the cooler a fair or average rating for these issues, except for that once we got the door on properly, set the temp and put the wine in, the cooler functions very well and we have had no problems with it.
