Other reviewers were correct when commenting that the escutcheons, or decorative covers at each end of the bar, do NOT securely attach to the mounting base. Our contractor had to doctor the installation with some silicone to attempt to keep the escutcheons in place. This is a design flaw. Grab bars and shiny and look good on the wall...when cleaned of water spots.

Coming from Delta, I expected this grab bar to be top-notch however I didn't find this on this product. The instructions were clear and detailed enough other than not including ADA complaint heights to mount this bar. A simple web search located this data. The hardware included was adequate but you have to take care to either place your drill gun on low or use a hand screwdriver to avoid stripping the heads. My biggest issue was one of the mounting caps that go over the screws didn't hold tight. I'll probably end up using silicon to keep the cap in place.

This grab bar is the beauty point of the bathroom now. It is a nicer style than the other existing fixtures in the bathroom. The super clean chrome finish stands out with pure beauty. The mounting flange is very versatile by providing five holes to find the right ones needed to match studs. Only two to three screws needed to be used, but more does not hurt.

Delta Lahara 24" grab bar in stainless steel with 8 stainless steel wood screws 2-1/2" in length. It is rated for 500 pounds in bright stainless steel with a 1-1/4" diameter. Since this is a 24" grab bar, I had to install it at a 45 degree angle ( as noted by the accompanying photo) due to the wall studs being 16" on center. It will be used for assisting someone rising up from the toilet. Very well constructed. Meets ADA load requirements when installed correctly. Comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
