Perfect Fit atop another Tuf-Tite Riser

Since building the house our landscape has slowly risen to the point the access cap to our Clearstream septic system holding tank was nearly underground. My septic company wanted $55 (plus service) to install a 3" riser so I went looking. I was initially considering the 20x3" riser but very glad I went with this 6". It came with free delivery in less than a week (Kudos to Valencia Pipe Company) and included the screws. In less than 15 minutes this was set up and ready to go.

The 6” Tuf-Tite 22” diameter riser is part of the VPC access system made for septic tanks. The 6” riser is used as a spacer either by itself or in combination with additional 6” or 12” risers. My project ended up using two 6” risers in combination to make for a 12” extension. Previously I purchased separate parts from Home Depot making for two access points to my yard drain sump basins.

The Tuf-Tite riser system is an excellent product and extremely easy to use/install, especially for the DIY homeowner. We installed a 24" x 12h" and a 24" x 18h" (12" + 6") system on our 1963 concrete septic tank & dist box and were thoroughly impressed at the quality of the Tuf-Tite products.

This riser fits perfectly into the ring. Our septic opening is ground level so a minimal 3 inch riser would work better for us, but no one we can find manufactures that option. It be much less noticeable if a brown earth color was offered.

My husband was very pleased with this purchase. He liked what he received for the money paid and delivery was timely as well!

JUST WHAT I NEEDED! Bought the lid as well. Something to help cover my ugly concrete septic tank lid... so I can BURY IT - AND YET FIND IT LATER.

Perfect solution for an upgrade to my riser. Only complaint is no markings for top or bottom. I had to dig it back up so lid would fit.

This is a great replacement. It appears to be a better and stronger design than the original. The green color blends in better than the black with grass, however, the green is a little bright. Perhaps it will fade over time.
