Love the look but very difficult to put together because the screws were hard to get to and the included wrench stripped on the first screw. Once together, it is very sturdy!

I was so excited to receive this stool as the color looked perfect for our room but when it arrived the color has a green hint to it and the wood feels more like plastic. It has several lines and is very shiny, looks much like a fake plastic-wood and nothing like actual wood. Was definitely disappointed! Its extremely light and bumps over easily. I was definitely expecting better quality than what arrived. Such a bummer!

I had the bar height stools and liked them so much I bought the counter height when. I remodeled my kitchen. They are sturdy, comfortable and look good.

These stools fit the bill, but they aren’t 5 stars. They were hard to assemble. We bgt 3 stools and the cushions all feel different; some are more firm; others are more soft. But the assembly is the biggest reason we aren’t giving 5 stars

Solid comfortable swivel stools!

These stools are great! Solid sturdy and comfortable! Would be five stars but there was some minor damage on one of the legs but it was still usable and under the seat. There was one nail missing that holds the wonderful metal protector where a foot may rest. I was able to tack it down with a small black nail as they used same. They are well packed except for the screw packaging which was only properly secured in one box. We were able to find all the large screws though:) You will have a tool to build with in each box. Follow the instructions regarding when to tighten. The seat is wrapped in protective plastic wrap..we removed this by undoing one side of the seat screws then reattached no problem. Solid stool that will last a long time.

Loved them at first! Beautiful stools but after people sitting on them for two months the metal in the middle bent on two of the three stools I bought. Nobody oversized sat on these so for these to bend in the middle makes me feel like these are cheap stools. Now when you sit on them they sit crooked.

Economical and good stool

I had already reviewed this product when I bought an additional one, as I was afraid they would be discontinued. Fits nicely under the counter and the color is true to the photo advertised. Would recommend

Obsessed with these barstools! The seat is very large and therefore comfortable. They look expensive. They filled out the space well due to the curved legs, so I was able to get three instead of four under my kitchen counter.

Beautiful chairs! The lightest color is indeed a ivory (blondelight beige color) but still very pretty. It has a wire brush finish, very tiny scrape lines to show the appearance of texture. The foot ring has a metal strip on it…although this could have been a beautiful feature the metal appears extremely cheap and has a rainbowoil mark appearance. I really wished it was a true metal. I think I will do a “rub n buff” on it to create a smooth (non rainbow) metal finish. The seat cushion is wonderful, very nice and firm and bounces back. I will spray the fabric seat with scotch guard bc we have little kids. It feels like a smooth woven twilllinen fabric. So it will def absorb fluids if spills happen. Very easy assembly.

Just Ok

Bar stools shipped right away. The description of the seat size was lacking. The seat actually measures less than 17". The bar stool was easy to assemble but two washers were missing had to go to Home Depot. The stool makes cracking noises when you first sit on it but just settling in all is good. The swivel mechanism is not as smooth as I would like.

If your looking for a tan stool, this is it

Bought this stool hoping it would match with my new gray and white kitchen and wood table but to my dismay it’s too yellow/tan/ivory and does not go with my decor. The stool is very sturdy and seems to be well made from my half hour assessment before determining it has to get returned simply based on the color. The fabric is a nice thick feeling fabric but definitely more tan than ivory. The swivel feature is great and the padding is nice and firm and I would expect it to wear well over time. This does not feel like a cheap stool by any means.

Perfect

Based off of all the previous reviews about the color being off I purchased these bar stools. The advertisement is completely wrong about the color but it was exactly what I was looking for. The bottom is brown to caramel rustic wood and the cushions are a beautiful cream color. I bought 4, they are all sturdy and comfortable! The cushion is huge and the chairs fit perfectly under my 32 in island countertop. I ordered the 25 in size. The building process is super easy.

My stool is the bar height. The grain looks fake up close, but from a distance that is not noticeable. The color was also warmer in tone than I expected (a lot of yellow in the grain and fabric). This stool is very comfy, the swivel works well and it all matched the description. Overall I am happy and might buy a second one for where my shoe rack currently is.

Attractive Heavy Stool But...

This is a substantial heavy stool, the wood is thick and appears to be very sturdy. It looks high end. Not hard to assemble. Love the stool but the swivel mechanism on the bottom side of the seat which was pre assembled was done sloppy, a major screw and attachment was put in at an angle, it’s loose and can’t be repaired without disassembling the seat. Poor quality control, therefore only 4 stars ! Otherwise a very attractive heavy stool. Should be checked over well before you start to assemble.

I know other reviews said the product's color did not match the online pictures, but I ordered the driftwood, and the color on the website matched what I received. (Admittedly, driftwood tends to have a "grayer" look to it, but the website photos looked more tan to me, and I thought it still had a casual, beachy look to it) I thought they were pretty easy to assemble and they do feel very sturdy. The seat is a little stiff, but I'm assuming that just needs to be broken in a bit. I also read that the swivel mechanism needs to be tightened often, but as I've just started using them, that has yet to be seen. The one thing that confused me is the round foot rail - from the instructions, it wasn't evident which side should face up, and looking at customer photos, some people put the black plastic side up and others facing down. Even the Birch Lane sites' photos show the foot rest in alternate positions. All in all, I love the way they look and they are sturdy enough for larger people to safely and comfortably sit.

Yes, I would buy this product again.

Our four chairs fits perfectly under our new bar table and the colors are just right. The seat is just right and fits both small and large people. Our grandkids just love them. Installation took a little time but only one tool required. Each chair was packaged to protect from damage. Was left with a lot of packaging though. The delivery arrived two days earlier than scheduled which made us very happy. The chairs are nice and sturdy and will survive many a party. All in all we are very pleased.

I ordered the 24-inch stool. The first one I received was damaged but Overstock did a wonderful job of sending me a replacement quickly. The stool has become everyone's favorite seat, so I plan to order a couple more since my kids are always competing for the seat at the counter. I like the quality of the chair and it feels sturdy. I've had it for about six months now and it's as good as new and withstanding the use of 2 adults and 2 kids so far.

Definitely do not go by the color in the picture when picking out this product. It is much lighter with a grey tint which wasn’t what we were hoping for but worked out just the same. Foot plates were very disappointing on two of the 4 stools purchased. Once the stools were all together, I pulled off the protective tape. One of the stools has missing black paint that I will need to touch up and on another stool, the foot plate is lifting up. Beautiful stools but a few items that I felt needed attention.

Perfect backless bar stool

Arrived very well packaged and in perfect condition. My husband put them together in a short time, following the instructions. The bar stools are so attractive, the seats are firm and very comfortable, swiveling easily. The seat fabric is neutral and a very nice quality. The perfect backless bar stool! Price is really good, too!

Buyer beware

The picture is misleading. The color is way off. The wood is light brown and the cushion is a tan color. The seat cushion size if perfect. The design is perfect. However, don’t expect a medium to dark brown stool not grey stool as pictured. Also the stool chips very easily!! Right out of the box there was a small chip on one of the legs. At first I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal, so I assembled the stool anyway, however now it seems that my eyes are drawn to the chip in the chair. Only keeping to avoid the hassle of returning.
