Excellent quality folding bookshelves

Well for a start, you don't have to assemble them. They come out of the box ready to use. I am so pleased with them. They look great and were an excellent price. I bought two, and they stand side by side.

Very good product

The color is a little bit too red and too light, walnut is actually a medium dark brown. That said, there is no assembly required, which is nice. I'm trying to figure out how to hide those ugly bumps on top. Still it's a sturdy little bookcase and works well.

Note that although the product is listed as dark walnut, it is more cherry-finish with hints of mahogany red. Very nice shelves though. I've ordered two sets. The shelves are hinged and set up quickly. The packaging is well-done, so the shelves arrived with no dinks, scrapes or defects. I have them stacked and they look great.

Great Shelves but Attach them to the wall.

I use these a lot. I stack them, one on top of the other. It is good to use a studfinder so you can run two - 2 or 3 inch screws with the included bracket to stabilize them. From a design perspective, you can see thru to the wall behind, so it is has a more open feeling, a less oppressive look than traditional bookcase.

Stackable folding bookcases

I purchased 4 of these bookcases because they were stackable. They are well designed and are stable when stacked. The material used appears to be a dense hardwood. In general all four bookcases are of good quality and appearance. The finish color is a little too reddish to be called Walnut. There are some rough spots in the finish but no splinters. Marked made in Thailand.

Just perfect!

I bought these shelves to sit on either side of my Christmas tree to display my ever-growing hoard of holiday snow globes. They look fabulous, and bonus... They fold flat so I can store them with my tree! They're sturdy and can easily handle the weight of my larger globes. They come fully assembled so no tools necessary. I don't think I will, but they're also stackable, hardware included. I'm very satisfied with these and the few more that I ordered. I like the mahogany nut they have 2 other color choices.

This small bookcase is truly special. It came pre-assembled, all I had to do was unfold it. It wasn’t very heavy or difficult to handle either. It fits perfectly in my sunroom and adds space for books, along with being an attractive piece of furniture. I highly recommend this item and am glad I found it - as an older person, it was really simple to deal with and good quality. Shipping was quick and efficient as well.

I have ordered 6 of these over the last year. Really like that they are stackable. Folding status makes them very convenient. Glad they keep the same finish and style over a long period of time. Neighbor saw mine and has ordered two for herself.

absolutely fantastic shelves!!

these are absolutely fabulous!! i have some as singles and some stacked. they arrived in perfect condition. don't forget the hardware bag in the boxes. easily overlooked. just dust them off and fold down the shelves and you are done. they look amazing. they stack easily. the stickers on the bottom of one of the shelves comes off easily and without leaving residue. solid and sturdy. no time for pics but these are the perfect solution for quick organization. i created a pseudo pantry as my apt is low on storage. i have a linen look curtain hanging from a tension rod to cover the front. (said pantry is in my living room too since it is one big room with open kitchen.)

These are a very attractive book cases. Friends have guessed them to be much more expensive than they are. The finish is rich, with a bit of deep brown red. There are notched slots for supports on the edges, and hinges that fold down when you want the shelving. For larger objects you can leave the shelf up. There are notched handles in the shelves for easy manipulation. They stack and are pretty sturdy. Metal knobs hold them in place when stacking. I bought more to finish out a small library. I really like the arts and crafts era look. They are nice Thailand made quality construction.

I purchased these a few years ago and they were made of a nicer hardwood (rubberwood?). I just purchased these again since I liked them so much earlier. This version is made from pine. The color of the stain has a lot of red in it, so it's walnut with a strong red hue which is unlike any other walnut stain I have ever used. One of the four came broken, and I used clamps and wood glue to repair it. Also, they were all warped in the upright outer legs. Since I bought 4, I was able to find an arrangement that reduced the issue, but also used brass L and I strips to bind them together tightly and reduce the warping. All in all, they are about average, and for the price, with a bit of elbow grease, they can be fixed up to work better.
