Great Grate
This is identical to the unit I am replacing after 30 plus years of use. It will wear out with extensive use over a long period of time but it will far outlast the less expensive lighter units.

This fireplace log grate is well made of heavy steel not cast steel. I find that the cast steel does not last and I end up buying a new grate often.

Exactly as described. Packaging was destroyed upon arrival, Im guessing due to weight and size. So far the grate has performed very well. Its heavy enough to not move around while arranging the burning logs.
