Very good quality and price

In spite of what some of the other reviews said, I didn't find it that heavy or hard to deal with. I'm 71 and used to DYI, so maybe that's why it wasn't so bad. I installed it myself with no help. I did have to cut some sheetrock out to put in a support board to hold it. I had to patch that up. Biggest issue was instructions are a little weak concerning the chimney cover. HD had the best price too. Very pleased.

We received our range hood promptly from Amazon however we noticed some deep scratches on the chimney extension. Contacted iktch customer support and Jessie was profesional and diligent on getting our problem resolved. Would definitely recommend this product and company.

Noisy and not enough power

900 CFM is questionable. Also noisy at level-1, very noisy at level-4. My previous 600CFM hood was more powerful than this one.

Exhaust is a little noisy, but we love the look.

The main issue for me is that the unit does not have a clock, use to looking at that spot for a clock where the previous microwave/exhaust was located. The hand wave function will not respond at times, have to manually operate, but pleasingly surprised that the package did accommodate our 10 foot ceiling.

[Rewarded Review] Good Range Hood

Overall this is a good entry level hood range. Easy enough to install even though the instructions could be a little clearer, you will need 2 people to hang the unit as it is heavy. Once installed you will need an outlet to plug into as this unit is not set up to be hard wired. The light really needs to be improved as it gives off little light even when adjusted all the way up. The fan works well and will suck any fumes from cooking as long as the pipe is installed correctly, in this until you can't run 2 90 degree elbows in the same line so make sure you are aware of this before you purchase. One nice thing about this unit is it can be controlled simply by waving your hand in front of the sensers, to turn on, off or adjust fan speed up or down and it will sense by itself if should come on. Overall heavy construction, install easy if patient and easy to clean but lighting is poor.

Just installed it, relatively straight forward but definitely the videos of another buyer installing it helped. Mine took a little longer as my previous hood was hardwired so I had to strip the plug. I didn’t bother screwing the bottom stainless steel cover as I mounted the hood already, you won’t notice. Definitely better to remove the stickers before installing to avoid strains. If you are careful you won’t scratch it, just have to wear gloves to avoid finger prints. One thing that wasn’t shown in the installation video is a gasket that goes underneath the back draft damper to provide a seal which it didn’t do well as the cut outs for the screws were misaligned. I caulked around it to prevent air leakage. The backdraft damper is also poor quality and had big gaps in it. Unfortunately my roof vent doesn’t have a flapper so I wound up cutting the flaps out of the damper and used a spring loaded damper which has a foam ring so it’s very quiet. Definitely helps to have a roll of aluminum tape to seal everything . You have to make sure the back bar holding the grates are installed correctly so the grates won’t fall down. Overall I’d buy this again if it lasts awhile.

Nice 36” hood and great service!

We got an iKtch IKP01 36” range hood in 2022 to pair with our cooktop. It has been a great value and works perfectly. We cook daily with it and it removes the cooking smells at low speed and is quiet to run. We also love the extra lighting. After almost 2 years of steady use we ran into a minor issue with the filters getting a couple small rust spots. I emailed iKtch customer service about buying new filters. They graciously offered to send all 3 of them to us for free! Jessie from iKtch was very helpful. Thanks Jessie@iKtch customer support!

IKTCH Range Hood. Arrived with box a little beat up but unit had no damage. Instructions pretty decent, was a little confused about a long angled metal piece looking at instructions was not real clear what it was for, finally realized it layed along the bottom on the back edge to hold in the baffles and was the grease tray. I agree with others the protective wrap was not the easiest to remove, fingers got a little sore, it did leave a residue in places (I ended up using goo gone and it worked very well with no harm to the stainless). I did have to cut one of the flue extensions to make them fit. Practiced on a scrap piece first, used a grinder with a cut off wheel for stainless and as long as I kept plenty of water running on it did not get bluing from the heat. Lights are a little tricky to get to dim but just takes some getting used to. Love the motion gesture to turn it off or on and it has worked very well. Just make sure you cross both sensors and can move your hand fairly quickly. Only time we have had it come on when we really didn't want it to was when we clean it/wipe it down. Have it set up ductless. Installed and using it for about 3 months now. No issues and lots of compliments on how it looks and the gesture control everyone really thinks is a neat feature. At this point would purchase again if needed.

Chose this one mostly for it's looks and functionality with a good CFM level. Our's is a brand new installation that vents outside of the wall so that part was a bit tricky but installing the unit is fairly easy. Once installed, this unit does what is advertised as having the motion sensor to operate the fans and lights.
