Alternate Vent Hood

After receiving the original vent hood from our cabinet manufacturer, which was sized for Biltmore, we looked for a smaller one to fit our needs.

Just OK for the price

I had the option to mail order with shipment to my home or have it shipped to my nearby Lowe's and do a pickup there. I opted for the latter with the hope that I would avoid damage that others reported when they had this hood shipped to there home. Well, I still had damage but it was fortunately minor - one of the grease filters was damaged and it's clasp had to be repaired too. The installation is not a one person job. the video gives you the highlights and glosses over the tough steps. The printed instructions are also inadequate. The chimneys are on the flimsy side and look distorted on one side. The blue film used to protect the stainless steel chimneys is a real challenge to remove, especially on the seams. For the money the end result is worth it, assuming the fan motor holds up.

Adky Made it All Perfect

I previously wrote a negative review on a Akdy range hood 30 inch purchased at Lowes, however today i was contacted by Akdy directly and they are sending me the replacement parts and made it clear they will make it right for me. That's what I call good customer service directly from the manufacturer. I will continue purchase products from Akdy. I love the range hood I purchased from Akdy, I was just dissapointed by the response i got from Lowes when i called them. However i do understand they are probably just the facilitator and responded to me the way they were trained? maybe there is a lesson in this for everyone.

Nice looking hood

Is a nice looking hood, at a reasonable price. Some people complain about the protective film, and I get it, is hard to get it out. I took it off with steam and an exacto knife in the edges and had no problems. Installation is simple, but need someone to help

The chimney segments arrived extensively damaged and the blue protective lining on the hood vent is almost impossible to remove.

Range Hood is nice and as described. The 6" duct provided does make a crinkle noise when you first turn on. When the foil fabric expands it causes the noise within the hood cover. Noise stops quickly though and is not a problem.

Awesome range hood!

Easy to install and looks great! Only challenge was removing the plastic wrap that was protecting the stainless steel.

Nice Range Hood - Lousy Assembly Directions

This is a pretty basic 30” Island Range Hood. We didn’t require the bells & whistles features, which already exist in our kitchen. The digital displays are nice, but how many features do you really need for a range hood? This model Nice 4 LED lights, Lighted Display buttons, Light, Fan Speeds, Low, Medium, & High, On/Off. Pretty Basic but does an excellent job of interior venting through the 2 stainless steel vents at the top of the chimney. Trash the instructions, YouTube has excellent video instructions for this model. Our biggest challenge was venting this unit as the center of the range hood lies directly beneath a 4x 8 floor beam for the loft above. In this log home, the floor above is 2” T&G. I basically constructed a False Ceiling Plate, Attached the metal frame for the hood, and completed per the video. iI did run the flexible duct from the blower/filter unit to the false ceiling using standard metal duct pieces. with several 3/8” holes to direct the vented air to the steel chimney grill vents on 2 sides of the chimney. Works Great, Will Vent the cooking air and Last A Very Long Time..Decorative wood trim out really added a Rustic Flair to my final installation.

The product came damaged. Bent. However, the product itself seems like a good item. Costumer service on damaged item should be better and corrected quickly.

When i received the box there was a hole in the side. I checked it but the cover didn't appear damaged but after installation and peeling the blue wrap i noticed a dent in the duct cover. Everything else works fine and it is pretty nice. Just the damage during transit and the peeling of the plastic what a pain, that's why 4 🌟.

Beautiful product!

Installation was a bit tricky but with patience it went well. It added a touch of modern to the kitchen. It's very nice. The only drawback was peeling the blue plastic cover from the stainless steel. Otherwise, it's a great product. I would recommend this product.
