Beat to pieces

This file cabinet looked like it had been thrown off a mountain even though there was no damage what so ever to the box. No fault of Office depot but it sure doesn't say much for HON!!

The cabinet was beat up like it had been thrown off a mountain. No damage on the box at all. Returned. The cabinet wasn't as heavy duty as I expected. Pretty light weight.

HON is #1

HON of HNI is a top quality manufacturer of office furniture and the HON filing cabinet is an example. The four-door file was delivered in a timely manner after ordered from Staples. It was shipped in a package that protected it from damage. Delivery person brought file into our garage. (Thank you) The file was protected from damage all around with thickened top and bottom to guard against dolly cart damage. The package is made to only need a knife cut along a dotted line for removal, very easy.

HON 310 Series 4-drawer vertical file cabinet

The driver delivered the item early in the day, very good didn't have to wait all day. Very happy with our purchase.

Decent file cabinet

Cabinet is as advertised. Drawers slide easily. Lock turns with the key, doesn't push in (like older file cabinets) so it can't be accidentally locked. Drawers have high sides and will fold hanging files without needing a metal rack system. Why not 5 stars? The followers are poorly designed and don't move easily (or evenly) at all. The overall quality seems a little less than the other, older Hon file cabinets we have. Delivery was later than originally promised and the online tracking was wrong. But, Staples customer service (via chat) made it right. The driver brought it inside the front door, in a box. I unpacked it. It was well packaged. There was no damage.

I bought this a week ago. It was packed well and arrived in perfect condition. It is affordable and good quality for the price.

Strong, sturdy and smooth

I already had old Hon file cabinets for over 25 years and they held up great. I needed more drawers so I went with the Hon 310 series because reviews said it was more like the older models I had. I got gray and it matches perfectly with the old cabinets. I like it better than the old ones because the side of drawers are higher so you can hang files without the wire supports in the old ones. And the drawers are quieter when you open & close.

This file cabinet is sturdy and just the right size. The drawers slide smoothly and the files fit perfectly.

This is a very nice unit but I just took it out of the box and noticed that its dented. I doesn’t affect the drawer from opening and closing, it’s more cosmetic. It was an expensive cabinet though.

Best file cabinet brand!

I have multiple others and tried a lesser expensive brand before, however am coming back to HON because the quality is superior. My others have lasted well over a decade. I'm purchasing a new legal size and expect this one to last several years as well.

Fie Cabinet

It was delivered 1 day after it was promised. Bottom of the Hon 4 drawer file was dented on both sides, but it opened and closed ok.

There was some scratching on the box, but it was well packed and the cabinet was flawless.

This file cabinets is flimsy. I know this will not last for the files I want to use it for.
