Perfect for extra tall bar

Very heavy duty and easy to assemble. Tall to fit our kitchen bar that is a backsplash to the stove. They are comfortable and beautiful- exactly what we wanted! BONUS- one was missing a single bolt. I called the manufacturer and it was here two days later. Made in the USA and excellent fast customer service.

Excellent Quality And Comfort

This Boraam Broadmoor 60 in barstool exceeds our expectations in quality and workmanship with the leather seat and nailhead trim. This stool is comfortable and roomy for larger people. The swivel is stiff so it does not move as freely as I had hoped and you need to put effort. It comes with strong screws at the right pressure points so as not to fail with a heavy person sitting on it. There is no way to climb up into it without assistance. We sawed off eight inches.

Great Bar Stools

These are gorgeous and match our mahogany bar perfectly. The extra tall, are extra tall and we cut the legs down a little. The original tall version would have worked if we built the bar taller, as previously planned. They are comfortable, sturdy and swivel easily. Very happy with this purchase.

Best To Add Lubricant To Threads

Brown color finish is appealing. Good padding on the seat. The instructions are helpful with a couple of hints. Best to add a little lubricant to the screw threads prior to threading in place. The hex head screws are fragile. It is easy to strip the screw threads. Do not over tighten.

I purchased two bar stools. I have two major problems. #1, two of the screws were bent. #2 the arm of one the stools was severely discolored. The bent screws would not go all the way in and Homedepot nor Lowes had a replacement. The discolored arm is an eyesore. I would return both stools but I don't want to reassemble them again.

This is the third product that I bought from overstock that I am very thrilled about. I got bar height, some called spectators height. I got the brown color, and once again, I got what I saw. That does not always happen. The chairs have a wide and comfortable seat, they swirl with ease, and the arms can accommodate any person with normal to long arms. I am 5 feet and 3 inches but I can get in them without them sliding across the floor like the other ones used to do. The studs on the side provides just enough elegance to show its sophistication. I also like the fact the the back is closed so that you will not have back imprint from leaning too long. The bar chairs were a great purchase and would recommend to anyone needing to upgrade.

Stools look great!

One of the stools didn't have a hole drilled that was needed. It would attach the arm rest to the bottom of the seat. We made do. Other than that the stools are a great piece of furniture, very tall for our high bar. It took a long while to put each together, but instructions were understandable.

MEASURE FIRST! We saw there was "extra tall" and "pub height." I assumed that the extra tall meant "counter height" like others. Wrong! It meant extraordinarily tall. My first question is, in what scenario are chairs needed to be this comically tall? I digress, the chairs themselves are high quality and I love that they swivel and stay. We had to cut off 6 inches in order to use them, so our pictures factor that in. I was also glad that the wooden screw covers actually stayed in, unlike the other chairs I bought.

Great Stool!

These stools are exactly what I was looking for. They are made of very good quality and extremely sturdy! The color matches my decor and fits my high bar area in the kitchen. I had looked everywhere to find stools that would work, and no one came close to what I needed besides Overstock. Also, for the price of one stool which was not tall enough everywhere else I searched, I was able to purchase two stools from Overstock.

Perfect

It is a large piece of furniture and is exactly what I have been looking for. Seats a big and tall person comfortably at a very tall bar. Fits my boys perfectly however even with me being 5'6" I still have to use a foot stool to get seated. Make sure before you buy that you need an item this large. Good quality. Only had one issue in assembling. Most screws would not completely tighten.

Great product

These bar stools were everything I hoped they would be. They are built well, beautiful solid wood and leather like cushioned seating and back support also nice quality. Comfortable, yes yes yes. The only thing I wish was that the distance between the seat to the foot rail was a bit shorter and they would be perfect. But awesome value for the price.

Sturdy and comfortable - 36" height

It was difficult finding a TALL barstool. The seat level on these chairs are 36" which is tall, but we have a really high counter. I need a stepstool to get into it, but I am short. My husband can get in them without a problem. They are sturdy, swivel nicely and are comfortable. Happy to finally have a bar stool that is the right height!!

These Boraam Broadmoor Extra Tall Swivel Barstools came packaged very well. My husband said the assembly directions were very good. We feel safe sitting on these extra tall barstools and the foot rest is secure. We bought 2 other types of extra tall barstools before these, and nothing compares to them.

FABULOUS FURNITURE!!!

This Broadmoor Extra Tall Swivel Wood Stool in Cherry Brown is BEAUTIFUL!!! It is certainly the perfect height for anyone who is at least 5.7 and taller! It took me only 1 hour and 25 minutes to put it together. And it all came together as easy as 1*2*3 !!! If I was a professional carpenter or person who knew how to use a hand drill skillfully; this project wouldn't have taken more than 20 minutes. The cherry brown color is AMAZING!!! I love everything about this chair from the color to the height and weight! For you ladies who are like me over 60 years old; this chair is very heavy to lift upright. So make sure your body is properly position and your hands are firmly holding it to lift it on its feet. I expect this chair will NEVER need to be replaced because of inferior quality. It is a high-end piece of furniture that is going to last my whole life time! I don't think I'll ever have to worry about it weakening over the years from use and becoming wabbly. Maybe every-now-and-then I might have to tighten the screws; but I don't see that happening for many years. Thanks Overstock for hitting a "home-run" with this chair!

This is a great chair - at first. The way it is designed one must regularly tighten the Allen screws. Finally the support broke in multiple places. I asked Overstock if the warranty applied. We were briefly past the guarantee time. So we asked a woodworking friend to stabilize it. That worked. My husband is 185 lbs. The chair is made with inferior material.

Great barstools. I have been looking for barstools for a couple of months. I have a 46 in bar and extremely difficult to find the right height for it. Most online stores do a poor job describing the seat height of their barstools. Almost all were not high enough. The actual SEAT height of this stool is 36in which ended up being too tall. I shortened the legs by 3 in and now they are perfect. The solid wood legs made it pretty easy to cut.

Very sturdy and extremely comfortable.

These are far better than I expected. After reading the reviews, and one of them said they were perfect for his 47" bar, I had to give them a try. My bar is 47 1/2 " and I couldn't ask for a better fit. They are very sturdy and extremely comfortable. I bought 6 of them and they are so big, The seat is 35" off the ground, the stool is 26 1/2 " wide and 21 " deep. I am doing a western/Rustic look and they are spot on. The are A bit of a pain to put together. Take about 45 minutes each, including unpacking. They were very well packed.

Heavy duty barstools, great value

After going thru two sets of cheaper barstools, only to have them get wobbly and fall apart, I decided to "splurge" and buy something in a higher price point. I am SO glad I did. These barstools are VERY heavy duty. They weigh about 50 pounds each and feel like they will last a lifetime. I love the swivel feature and assembly was very easy, as the directions were very clear and easy to read. I am thrilled with this purchase.

Comfy but a couple structural issues

I bought two of these stools to fit my 47.5-inch counter, and they work well for that purpose. They are comfortable, feel sturdy, and look nice as well (the cushion material is a darker brown than in the photo). However, two issues: 1) When assembling one of them the circular piece supporting the seat turned white in one spot, indicating that the wood was under strain. I left that screw loose and let it sit for 24 hours before tightening it, however, and it seems to be ok now. 2) Over the roughly two weeks since assembling the stools, the decorative lattice on the back of both backrests has cracked in several places. I don't think cracks in this part of the stool pose a safety hazard, but they are a lighter color than the stain and so don't look great. If they don't get too much bigger I'll probably just paint some color on them eventually to hide them - but if they do then I may consider replacing the stools.

Would not buy again!

We have a tall bar, and the stools were one of very few options available for the height we need. We love the look, however 3 out of the 4 chairs we purchased have broken - same spot every time. Front under the seat, there is a wooden piece that cracks when friends are getting off of the chair! The company sent me 2 replacement seats, then the 3rd chair broke, and it has been a year so they won't stand behind the flaw in their design. We will need to find a way to reinforce the chair seat for safety. Our friends are not heavy - so it is shocking to me that more customers have not complained about this! I am stuck with them, as they will not stand behind their product. I emailed and their response was "sorry - nothing we can do as it has been a year." The thing is - these stools are hardly used, and it's just disappointing that we have to figure out a way to fix them for our guests to prevent them breaking! Ugh - just wouldn't buy them again.
