Carefully look at the description and specifications before your purchase. My bad, I didn’t and received this scrawny thin downrod. I knew right when I opened it (ordered and shipped to my HD store) that it wasn’t what I was looking for. I ordered bronze, and this sucker was straight up black! Love that I could return it right at the counter where I received it. Took about three minutes from receipt to return. Thanks HD.

This extension rod does not fit all "River of Goods" fans. This diameter was too large for my River of Goods fan. But, the rod itself was fine unfortunately I thought it would fit a fan from the same manufacturer.

If you have a rivers of goods fan, it requires a rivers of goods down rod. Home depot stocks 3/4 inch down rods. But, this one is a 1/2 inch size and has to be ordered on-line. It looks and works great.
