This has been a great addition to my house over the door. Today, with wind gusts over 35mph it has held up and shows no sign of the struggle to remain attached to the house. Installation is definitely a two person operation. I suppose one person could probably do it, though it would increase time to install and would certainly require a lot of fumbling around. Better if you snag a friend to help and be quickly done. As I said it is holding up well with the high winds. The other day when we had a foot of snow it did sag some frome the weight but otherwise no problem. Our snow tends to be very dry so a little tap from the underside loosened up and removed the snow weight. This is a very good solution for over door protection from rain and elements such as falling ice and drips from the roof. I will be ordering another one in near future when I save up some money to install over my front door. While my dog is incapable of expressing her satisfaction, it does make her exit through pet doors easier because it keeps the doorway free from ice and snow. She has a habit of sitting inside with her head outside to keep tabs on her territory and now she can do so without her head getting dripped on. So we both love it.

Good awning for over the front door to not get wet during rain if there is no room to put a front porch like in our case. Had to place it a little higher for the glass door to be able to open. Does not come with the right hardware for vinyl siding only for masonry. A trip to Lowe's solved that. We live in Northwestern Tennessee so we normally do not see inches and inches of snow so the flexibility of it is not a problem. The awning was more solid and held together better after it was installed.
