We have 10 recessed lights in our dining area and several years back replaced the incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs for the power saving, less heat, and a different color temperature. Took a chance on these as I would love to be able to adjust the temperature and try some new looks without committing/purchasing a single color temp. I also prefer the look of these versus a bulb too, so a win/win there. The wire screws right into the old bulb socket, the color selection on the back is super easy too. I also think it's pretty slick you can adjust to 5" or 6" cans. For my application I had to remove the old trim and then get the new unit slid up in place. The drawback I've run into is getting them to sit flush against the ceiling. It takes quite a bit of fiddling with to get a tight fit, the little metal arms just don't seem to bite in the cans we have.

The installation was very simple and took less than 10 minutes. These were pretty similar to the lights I replaced.I really like the switch that allows you to choose the color and brightness of the light from a soft yellowish to a very bright white, you choose which type you prefer. All you do is screw the new light end into the bulb socket in the light can.There are wires on both sides that hold the fixture in place. The finished product looks great.

If you are about to remodel your house these are some of the best lighting fixtures you will find for the quickest remodel ever. I picked these up for our neighbor that is replacing the older incandescent lighting bulbs in their apartment building. These go into ceiling to replace the older can lights and all you do is to remove old bulb and bezel, then screw the adapter into socket and use spring clips to hold it all in place. You are done repower the circuit and test lights.
