Almost Perfect

We opted for Luxrite versus cheaper competitors for color selectability, which works perfectly. The only issue we have ran into is that our 6" cans are a bit on the larger side for 6" cans and these lights do not do a great job of covering the existing opening and prior trim marks. They are a bit smaller than the other 6" options. They are easy to install using the C clips; however, if your clips are not at the proper depth, these do not stay super tight to the ceiling. Some of our other cans have the clips at a slightly different depth, and those do spring tight against the ceiling.

This remodel 5 IN./6 IN. RECESSED LIGHT KIT by LUXRITE is an excellent product with many features. First, it is an integrated LED light with 95 watts output that is fully dimmable. It is rated for inside or outside use. The key feature is the color selection switch (5 settings) that allows goes from daylight to soft white. These replace the current can light bulb and baffle which are simple to remove. Then select the light color level and screw in the adapter and slide the spring clips into the light can brackets. Push up so the supplied form seal is tight to the ceiling. These are rated at 50,000 hours, so you won't be touching that light again from a long time. These come in a good value 4 pack.

When my house was last renovated in the 80’s, I installed incandescent can light fixtures into the ceilings in every room. Although my existing recessed fixtures have a clean surface “look” they are terribly inefficient. With each old fixture using a 60W incandescent bulb, they add up to a large electric bill. I recently replaced several of them with these can-less retrofit LED light fixtures. Here is what I like and what I think could be improved:
