Would of given it 5 starts, if....
It weren't for the hefty price tag. Works well though.

It is such an improvement over other lights. It is bright, it is flexible. The magnet sticks well to metal and it does have a hanging hook. I was using it a lot on a project and like the instructions, the battery lasted 3 or 4 hours, then it will go out. If you plug it in for a while, it will come on, but not for long. It is better to just recharge it completely before using it again.

Battery life is descent for 2 hrs brightness as described by Clay Koon in one of his YouTube video. It is the sunlight of under the hood more than I've expected. The hangger bar is solid and fully adjustable, and I will buy another light to make brighter and stay stationary under the hood or just to switch out on long work under the hood.
GearWrench light are tough
This light is bright and lasts along time and the magnet is very powerful

This if for the underhood winglight. I did not get a set of instructions for this. Use is pretty intuitive, but I set of instructions would've helped. The single black rubber covered button cycles through all the modes...randomly. The front spot is one mode. There seems to be two different levels for the wing lights. Pushing the button will randomly select one of these modes and / or turn off. I would've loved to have the single button colored or differentiated from the rest of the housing, as the outside is predominately black with orange highlights. USB-C charging on the light shows that Gearwrench is keeping up with the times! Really helps as it doubles as a charger for my Samsung phone! Light is rated at 400lm for the front spot and 1000lm for the floor / wings. The 400lm spot drowns out my cheapie 300lm (questionable) rated wand lights! I've ran the 400lm spot for 2 solid hours, and it ran consistent and strong - my wand lights would've started to dim by now. The winglight is a bit bulkier than my cheapie wand lights - I can barely get my fingers around the circumference, and I wear a size 9 / Large glove. I wish Gearwrench had adjustable brightness for the lights, but it's a minor complaint. I question how sturdy the hook mechanism is, especially when hooked into the underhood clamp. I tried to slide the winglight along the aluminum bar, and I was rewarded with skips and studders that made me cringe - I detached and reattached the hook after that. We'll see how long the hook lasts - we mechanics are not the easiest on tools and equipment. For the price, I can't complain - light output is great, and when positioning the light properly, illumination is fantastic. Compared to the tool truck brands, the price is fantastic! I'm planning to purchase another winglight, and having both a single underhood clamp would fit all my needs. Questionable on reliability in the long run...

I have streamlight headlights at work so i bought this for the house . So far so good. It is more like a floodlight so you can't focus it at one spot. Battery life is ok. Lasts about 2 hours on high. I haven't tried low setting because why would i. Don't know why lights even have low setting.
