First installers said I needed this to complete installation. Customer service was great when I called to order additional part and delivery was right on schedule. Then second installer said I did not need this. In the meantime I had a leak all week from the first installation. I'm not real happy with the dishwasher installation.

this water hose works great. unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the terrible installation process. I had to hire my own help after HD contractors came out 3 times to the house and told me 3 different stories of how they could not and would not install a washer and dryer properly.

If the swivel fittings get wet, they will rust.

Was offered these hoses when purchasing my new washer, figured they looked robust. Installed and seemed okay initially. Had the washer for about 10 months (since the BIG Freeze here in Texas). Wife noticed some damp spots in the Washer Dryer area. Finally after a puddle formed, found these hoses leaking at the joint. Tried tightening but it seemed to get worse. Looked at the washers, both looked good so I can only conclude the metal swivel joint is leaking. Pulled the washer as that is the swivel seal and the swivel joint is slightly corroded. I guess the stainless stell does not extend to the joint fitting. I can probably assume that there was a light leak to start where moisture contacted that fitting face, and then as the water was entrapped, it started working on the fitting. I will need to replace both "five Year" hoses but as there is no address for the warranty, other than "Made in China", it'll be on my own dime.

Our original washing machine hose of 1year corroded and caused significant amount of damage to our home. The hose I ordered turned out to be from the same manufacturer that our original hose was from. I returned the hose. I told the sales person, but she didn't appear to care that HD is selling a product that is defective even though it has a 5-year warranty.

I ordered a different hose and was told afterwards it was not available and so I have ordered a third, which I have yet to receive and adapters in order to use it.. I was disappointed that the email saying it was unavailable did not have any recommendations to replace the one that was not available

Is as good as it looks

The stainless steel should eliminate the excessive corrosion that occurs in our neighborhood. Did not need to be tightened more that hand tight to avoid leaking, but I added 1/4 turn with a wrench for greater peace of mind.
