Good
Plenty of points to secure this into place and well made
Easy to install
This type of recessed is good for new construction
Economical kit
Economical contractor kit, great quality, ease of installation
Right lighting
Purchased these lights for a garage install. They went up super easy, but the ceiling is open at the moment. They're also a good looking recessed light. No complaints.
Can lights
Inexpensive can lights that were very easy to install. I liked the connectors that it came with
As expected
6 decent quality can lights with bezels included at a fair price. A fair way to save a few bucks.
Perfect except for the supplied baffle / trim
There is a large gap between the light bulb and baffle with the supplied trims (looks terrible). Otherwise these are great; easy to install. Purchased Commercial Electric recessed trim retrofits and happy with the end result.
Great product and easy to install
East to install and great that it comes as complete kit!
Easy install!
Very straight-forward install! Instructions were a little lacking with details but was intuitive overall, so not bad.
Great value for the price
Awesome product and great value. Easy to install and to fit to your joist size.
It gives great lighting.
Ths price and the style of this is great. I had it installed on a new construction project under the porch, back and front,as well as the side of the house.
Best box store cans
If you want the light trim or you do'nt want the light trim you need to read the box
Great fixtures
These are quite easy to install and connect.
Canned lights
These were easy to put up and connect no wire nuts needed or knockouts if you use the wire clips provided only upgrade I would suggest is roofing nails to attach as the nails provided are cheep and bend easily
Easy to install (except for the trim)
These lights are great. They go in easy and have several options for hanging. The only downside to note is the trim. The trim springs don't have any obvious mounting points and they easily bend out of place. The instructions were not clear on how to install the trim, and lacked a figure showing how to mount.
Be careful of the ground wire.
I've had two of these recessed lighting cans for a year. They were the only style available in stock when I bought them, so I purchased them, although it wasn't new construction. The weather turned too cold to work in the attic and I set them aside until a few days ago. Overall, the installation wasn't difficult, but there's one caveat. Before installing the units between the trusses, I'd cut out the holes and installed the NM cable connectors (AKA entries). I didn't realize that the knockout I chose would be a problem until the ground wire fell out of the box! The braided ground wire is fastened to the housing with a small rivet that's very close to one of the entries I chose and the retaining nut sheared off the wire at the rivet! I drilled and tapped a new hole between two knockouts on the top and used a ground screw to fasten the wire securely. Needless to say, I chose a different knockout on the other unit. I had difficulty extending one of the brackets, but once whatever was holding it let go. it operated freely. Even though it wasn't my first choice, it worked well and I'm happy with the result.
Very Irritated (BR 40's stick below ceiling)
Bought these from Lowes as the Bulk Contractor pack that came with the 6 trim kits. The installation was and is easy. Here is my huge issue; after redoing an entire room floor to ceiling, I went to install BR 40 light bulbs into these units HOWEVER, the bulbs sat below the ceiling. After adjusting the wing nut and sliding the adjustable socket up as high as it can go I put the BR 40 back in the socket and guess what....it still sits below the ceiling. These cans are not deep enough to support a BR 40 even though they say they do. I tried putting BR 40's in other 6 inch cans in my house and those cans have the light recessed up into the fixture at least 1 1/2 inches. My question is what is the deal? Furthermore, the spec's say these lights recommend a PAR 30. So I bought a pack of those and put them in. Now the issue is when you look up at the light, you can see the metal can itself for the baffle trim kit does not cover around the bulb. If that is the issue then why would you sell a kit with baffles that won't cover all of the metal can if you are claiming to use Par 30 bulbs. I am very irritated with this issue as you can see. If these cans only recess a total of 5 inches with the adjustable wing nut and bar that needs to be stated and explained. These cans are more shallow than the older models.

Great product for the money. Easy to install and easy to wire.
[Rewarded Review] Works great easy to install
Works great easy to install good value for the money
Halo Recessed Lighting
These were 'plug and play' as they say. Having never installed recessed lighting before, these were a breeze with no instruction needed.
