Housing does not sit flush with ceiling

I replaced 9 lights in my home. The only issue with this light fixture is that the gasket causes the housing to not sit flush with the ceiling, thus casting a shadow around the housing. Re-adjusting the gasket did not improve the look.

Easy to install and matched those already installed in my house. Good that they had several light settings so they could be matched to those 3000K one light setting in my home.

LED can light replacement

When off, the white fixture looks far nicer than the 20+ year old yellow/orange (used to be white) can insert it replaced. At 645 lumens the LED is about 1.4x as bright as the old 65w bulb, still kinda piercing even on the 3000k setting.

Replaced our 12 year old inserts that were not bright white and the plastic frame was yellow. What a difference. Had the living area painted. Looks like a new house. We had them installed in the living area and bedroom and bathroom. Just took a few hours.

Flexible use

This is a very adaptable light which I've recently used in dimmable living room and bathroon shower applications. Having two electrical interfaces is a real plus in this price range.

Won't Last

These were installed all over my house when it was built 3 years ago. 1 by 1 they are starting to strobe, then fail. So it's not just 1 bad light. They work great while they last. They just don't last long.

Burned out after 3 years, heavy flickering. Warranty info hard to find.

I have my receipt and am attempting to warranty these. They failed after less than 4 years. Failure mode was flickering, or failing to come on. All lights purchased were affected. These were in an airconditioned lived in space. Disappointed.

Replacement recessed light won't stay in place

the light color and intensity was very close to the other lights in the room, and the profile matched the light this one was replacing; however the "integrated torsional spring" system for holding the light up in the recessed can is completely ineffective. The springs slide toward the centerline and do not produce enough resistance to hold the light firmly against the ceiling. The system used in the original light, which placed lateral pressure directly against the can wall was far superior. Another case of cheaper manufacturing which, in this case, renders the product useless.

I’ve replaced 4 of these out of the 18 in my home with less than 3 years of installing. Each started Strobe light flashing.

Poor fit; poor light, poor packaging, and overall a product that reflected it's low price. But, a very good experience in returning them to the store. The person handling returns was really pleasant and efficient. Promote him!

I was needing extra lights to match the case I had purchased a few years ago. Although the package had changed and my local store was out-of-stock, thankfully I found them online and the light is still the same! These are SO easy to install. We are replacing all burned out recessed flood lights with these LED retrofit lights and they look great!

Bad Buzzing and Bad Halo Support

An electrician installed 11 of these in my house on Lutron dimmers. At least 4 emit a buzzing sound. Halo doesn't answer emails nor is there a number to call. The distributor indicated on the Halo web site has stopped responding for getting an RMA from Halo.

No I’m going to have to return these items. They’re cheap Chinese knockoffs. No matter what I did , they wouldn’t fit flush in my ceiling. They are too cheaply made. Bad design. Not happy with them at all !

Air tight, comes with a gasket where most other do not.

Most LED trim kits have decent light, but HALO has higher CRI.

Spring clips fall off

I ordered 4 of these lights. They should be easy to install, but the large spring clips that hold up the light came off on 2 of these units. I tried to reattach the clips to the metal arms but could not manage to get past the little nub on the arm. Very frustrating. I still have two units that I have not unboxed. Looks like I will return at least 2 lights, and maybe more. These spring clips come loose very easily and are impossible to reattach.

Very Bright Ceiling Lamps

We were very impressed with the brightness (and the different settings to change the type of light emitted (2000k (yellowish) to 8000k (bright white). Simply choose the level of light you desire for your area. Oh, don't forget to ensure multiple lamps are all installed using the same settings on each lamp, or your place will look like a cheesy '70's hotel room with different colored bulbs in each fixture!!Overall we are very pleased, and if they last 3 years , we'll be extremely pleased. The manufacturer claims 22 years of use before replacement. We'd be ok with changing them every 4 years! Inexpensive enough...Easy installation! 45 minutes to replace 4 ceiling lamps. Nice afternoon enlightening project!!! Ha!

The Halo ceiling light looks like it does on-line. However, the color of the lights are very bright white. If you like that kind of light this will suit you but I prefer a softer light. It is stated as ‘soft white’.
