These are fantastic stakes for pole beans. They are longer than similar stakes, which is a huge plus. They are also thicker and more sturdy than the typical plastic coated metal stakes. Still, these are not a 'pound it into the ground' type of stake. If you have anything other than perfect soil (such as in a raised bed) you'll need to predrill a hole to avoid having to pound in the stake (pounding will break or bend the stake).
Use for walk protection.
Great for more than gardening. We life in the hills of California. I got these to carry on our walk for safety against snakes and other things. they are light but strong. well walmart hide this review too.
Perfect garden stakes for the flowers
These stakes are easy to use with a beveled end and flat end for perfect placement. The stakes are easy to clean and bunches nicely together for storage. The stakes are shipped neatly in a box bound by zip ties. Highly recommend.
[Rewarded Review] Sturdy and very useful in the garden
Seemed a little expensive at first but after using them, I realize the quality makes up for it.
[Rewarded Review] They do the job nicely
These are perfect for my tall dahlias and lilies. Hard to beat the price. Pointed at one end for easier ground insertion and sturdy. Strong winds came thru and they stood tall. Ordered one set last year, 2 sets this year. Recommend
Not for hard ground
These are not super tough. The metal tube inside is thinner than a tin can. The seam is open all the way down, so is not reinforced in that manner. It cannot handle being hammered into hard ground. The do break or bend if the plants or nettings are whipped by strong winds. That said, this is the second batch we've purchased. These are the 1/2" x 5' stakes. Perhaps the larger diameter ones would be stronger, but they are twice as much. We've just accepted the long term breakage.

Perfect multi purpose garden stakes. Sturdy. Steel core makes a huge difference. Green coating blends with yard and garden background. Go deep into soil. Will hold light poly pro line tight. Good for marking and protecting plants, sprinklers from collision. Useful for attaching colored marking tape to ID hazards. Very handy. HD should stock these in stores. I could use 10 more!
Only ok - limited use
These 5' stakes are just ok. They are NOT heavy duty. The "steel core" is only thin wall tubing. Beverage can wall thinness. If bent too much, tubing will crimp and break. Be very careful hammering them in, especially if the ground is hard.
