Perfect for my garage workshop! It's just like biology science lab seating. I don't need a comfy chair in my shop, just a place to take a load off for a few minutes. This is a sturdy long lasting stool for that.

I was not sent the item, only a catalog was in the box. Box was not tampered with, someone just forgot to add the gift

Good functional stool

Nice sturdy stool, just as advertised. Also nice that it was available in black.Only negative is it's very difficult to get the rubber glides off to install the adjustable legs.

Rock Solid Construction

I use this in my music studio for practicing the bass. The adjustability and sturdiness are exactly what I was looking for. Add a cushion to the top and you have a premium musician's stool.

I use the stools at my kidney table in my first grade classroom. I'm able to add up to 8 students to my small group. They are a huge space saver. Chairs made my table feel too crowded.

A bit hard to assemble, but doable

The plastic end caps that came with the stool are really hard to take off, and you need a pair of heavy duty pliers to do so, which will destroy the caps in the process. I wonder why the actual adjustable leg pieces were not shipped installed. The plastic caps wouldn't be very stable if you left them on. I did t notice the box they came in and was convinced they where missing for a solid 10 minutes. Now that it's assembled so love it.

Finally found the perfect stool for the kitchen. Super strong, industrial look, and built like a tank.The best thing is that I can customize the height exactly where I want it, and it is completely secure. Come with stainless steel screws (who uses stainless anymore?) It had to be lightweight enough that I can move it with one hand, small footprint, and solid enough to hold up to my 250 lbs friends who visit. I cannot get over how well this is built compared to all the stools I have been looking at in the commercial stores. It was packed so well, I KNEW when I opened it this was the winner. Found this stool in by clicking on a well known newspaper article living section that was writing an "ode to stools in the house". I am thrilled and that is not hyperbole.

Nice tall barstools. This size is not easy to find

These things feel almost indestructible, which is probably why they have a ubiquitous in many high school lab/art classrooms. Aesthetically humble, but exceptionally sturdy. If you are deciding between this stool vs the fixed height stool, I recommend the adjustable. The price difference isn't significant, and chances are you'll wish you had the option to raise or lower your seat at some point.

A decent stool

This was easy to set up. If you want to adjust the height more than once - this stool is not for you. You'd need to adjust the leg bottoms and tighten each time. So it can work well for you - or it might be something you put to the side of your studio for visitors to plant themselves to chat while you work or chat back. I ended up putting this in my studio corner and got a seat that I can adjust with a side lever as I find that more useful for my routine. In your case it could be quite useful however and so I ended up recommending it.

Good fit for a science lab

I ordered 4 chairs for my home lab. All fit perfectly. Only one chair has a small dent on the side, but totally bearable.

Reminds me of Art class.

Exactly like the stools in my high school art class, but nicer quality. I suspect I will have it for a long time. The color is perfect and looks great in my traditional home, but would also look great in a modern home for sure.

Exactly what we wanted

We wanted this type of stool for our kitchen island. If we ever trade them out, they are adjustable for other uses. We love this look, and our only concern is that the wood fiber seat might stain since it is in the kitchen.So far no problems.

Stool works great in my studio and nice to have the ability to raise and lower the stool depending on the task at hand.

Solid product, Made in USA

This is a heavy duty artist's stool. Heck, it's the same one found in every art class you've ever been in. It is solid and well put together in comparison with many other stools I have seen in stores. My only complaint is the masonite seat is very thin, uncomfortable and easily shows defects. This was easily remedied by purchasing a stool cushion. My daughter loves it.

I would buy this again, if...

The stool ships with the adjustable legs in a separate wrapper. The problem we had was trying to remove the plastic/rubber feet it was shipped with in order to install the adjustable legs. We ended up having to use a box cutter and a narrow screwdriver to pry them off. It was very difficult! Once set up, it is a great stool.

I would buy this product again!

It fits perfect for my needs. I an artist. So this gives me rest at the easel.
