I was planning to setup a sun shade tent in my backyard and I just need some ground anchors to secure the tent. The vortex anchors are a good option for the work. The package comes with 4 anchors and one metal bar that you can use to twist the anchor for securing it. The plastic construction is OK although I was hoping that it could be a little bit thicker. Time will tell how good it is.

These work great. 6” goes into the ground and you get a nice bar to use as a handle to twist them into the ground. The loop over ‘tie’ makes it easy and then a hole to use if you want. I ‘screwed’ the anchor into straight the ground and could not pull it out. Great anchors. I highly recommend these for anyone looking to anchor something in the dirt.
I recommend
I love how small they are, yet strong enough to hold a canopy down. I keep them in my truck I’m sure there are several other uses for them. Great price as well!!!

Handy and secure! These Vortex ground anchors are sturdy and handy to have around for multiple purposes. We have a very large snowman figure that needs securing to keep it from tipping over. These anchors screw into the ground and stay firm and secure. Easy to screw in using the metal bar. There is a hole and also a t tab at the top of the anchor on which to thread and/or wind your cord or wire. I tried pulling the anchor out once it was in the ground and couldn't budge it. Good design and handy to have around.

Liberty Ground Anchors The package contains a set of four plastic, helix screw ground anchors, each 7.5” (186 mm) long, and one 6” (150mm) metal rod to provide some turning leverage. Weight of the set is 4 oz, or 112 grams. In slightly damp clay soil, I found it challenging to press the tip of the anchor into the ground hard enough to get it started, but once I had it at least an inch (30mm) or more, the digging action of the helix screws was sufficient to take it deeper, though I DID need the leverage of the supplied metal rod. Coming out of the dirt was easier – once about half of the spiral length was out of the ground, I could rotate the flattened top of the anchor using my fingertips. Placing the anchor in moistened beach sand didn’t even require the metallic “persuader!” In both of these environments, the holding power of the anchors were impressive; though rated for 70 lbs (32 kg) of pull force, I couldn’t dislodge the stake by pulling straight up on some attached 3/16” cord. Pulling at an angle should be even more resistant to dislodging the anchor! Once out of the ground, I could get the dirt off of these by soaking them in the utility sink or bucket, then wiping with a wet rag.

These ground anchors come in so handy for a variety of projects and are easy to use. I used these to secure the bottom of a privacy fence. They were just slightly too wide to get through these particular eyelets but the well thought out head design allows for a variety of ways to secure these earth anchors. I used a zip tie through the fence grommet and through the anchor hole used to screw it down into the ground. The head also has a down ended "T" that allows you to wrap a chord or bungee around it or just once under. Even in our sandy soil I find this length gives a secure hold and it is just a few quick turns to get them down into the ground. I have secure tents down, steadied yard signs, held the end of a string / tape & much more.

This 4-pack of Vortex plastic ground anchors are a great design, and are made of a tough nylon material. My application is to use these when camping; for tent, awning or fly stakes. You could take the installation rod (included), bend it 90 degrees at one end, and chuck it in a drill. This would speed up installation when you are using these as I am. As the package states, results will vary dependent on the soil in which they are installed, but these are SO much better than regular stakes or pegs. The dimension given is accurate. The exposed end has multiple features for making your attachment.

These ground anchors are made of very durable plastic. Material held up well during ground installation, no twisting or bending of the plastic anchor. The metal rod provides good leverage while twisting. Even a Phillips screw driver would work as a back up. We used these as anchors to support newly planted trees. Even with high winds, the anchors never moved. Great overall product

These 7.5” bladed plastic ground anchors are really nice, I put them around 4 corners of my above ground 14” steel pole pool. The metal stick that was included came in handy to twist anchors in the ground, they set firmly and will work great for my project. I am using these on 4 corners with tie downs so when pool isn’t in use I can use the bungee cords, I slip one hook on the cover grommets and other end threw eye on the ground anchors to keep cover secured until next swimming time.
