Way TOO BRIGHT! We put 3 in and it is like being in a tanning bed.

I like these lights. The pictures on the web site were accurate. We feel they are a bit too bright for our location, so we are getting a dimmer switch. Thankfully, these are dim-able.

This fixture has no allowance for electrical box droop. The lights own weight will pull the box down and create a gap at the ceiling. If your box is at or near the ceiling (not recessed at all), I wouldn't use. There are other fixtures that allows the box to drop into the fixture more than a 1/4in while still maintaining ceiling contact. This one will create a 1/4in gap at the ceiling.

These lights are awesome and very easy to install. I did have a little trouble turning them on the base while it was installed on the ceiling. Other than that I would recommend these lights to anyone that doesn’t want to convert to a canned light.

Nice light, has a higher color temp then the standard 3000K which for the room it was going in was fine. I would recommend using a dimmer as this light is very bright IMHO after sunset. I used the LUTRON P-PKG1W-WH Caseta Wireless dimmer switch. We also have installed similar Halo 4" recessed LEDs in another room using Lutron MACL-153M-WH Maestro dimmer (did that last year and performance of these Halo recessed LEDs has been solid and gave me confidence in purchasing this Halo product). Both dimmers are awesome and the lights don't buzz when dimmed.

Easy to connect. You must cut into the drywall on the ceiling to remove the mud ring or the transformer on the back will not fit and the light will not fit flush to the ceiling.
Difficult to install
Very difficult to install the light to get it flush with the ceiling.
Good light, little tough fit
I really like the look and light output, and installation was easy. Was a little difficult to get completely fluah on the bracket - one side still has a slight gap.
