The lantern looks charming. It has a sorta homemade quality because the stars aren’t centered in their tiles and the tiles aren’t evenly spaced. It’s cute and cheerful and patriotic. If I were just reviewing the look and perceived quality of the material I’d give it more stars.

This review is for the Alpine 7 in. Tall Hanging Solar Powered Outdoor Multi-Color Patriotic Lantern with LED Lights. This solar patriotic colored lantern is stunning. At night when lit this lantern is brightly colored and genuinely nice looking. During the day when not lit the bright colors still catch your eye and make a very appealing decoration. The lantern requires 6-8 hours of full sun to be at its peak power. There is an on / off switch on the underside of the lid if you want or need to turn it off, but I think it is just too beautiful to not have lit up at night. This lantern has a nice base and can be set on a table or wall or you can hang it by the wire hanger. Whichever method you use just make sure that it gets the appropriate amount of direct sunlight so that it can display it’s lit-up beauty at night. The lantern will continuously recharge each day and automatically turn on at night and will be off during daylight hours. This lantern with its patriotic colors is a nice addition to any backyard or patio.

My wife and I are very pleased with the Alpine multi-color outdoor lantern. The lantern’s solar panel charges up the batteries quickly and the LED lamp gives off a considerable amount of light for several hours. In addition, the lantern is colorfully painted in patriotic colors so it is an attractive decoration to our outdoor area during daylight hours. The lantern is designed to be either hung up or sit as a center piece on an outdoor table; big or small. We are looking forward to spring so we may permanently place the lantern outside. At the moment, we are trying to reach an agreement on where it will look best. See attached photographs. With proper care this lantern should provide many years of service and add a nice decorative touch to our home's curbside appeal.

This solar powered patriotic lantern is made well and is designed very nice. It has a great look day or night. There is an on / off switch under the solar panel, but I would leave it turned on since it shuts off when it’s light out and doesn’t light up again until it gets dark out. The lantern will continuously recharge each day and automatically turn on at night. Very nice addition to any backyard.

The 7 in. Hanging Solar Powered Outdoor Patriotic Lantern with LED Lights came very quickly and was well packaged. One of my favorite holidays is the 4th of July and I chose this lantern to add to my other decorations. The instructions are very easy to understand. Had to wait for a few sunny days to charge up. I wiil be using this on the table on my back patio this summer. This lantern is very colorful and patriotic. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommend.

This outdoor Lantern is very colorful and patriotic. It needs to be in sunlight for 6-8 hours the solar panel is on the top, Once you turn it on the light automatically comes on at dusk and turns off in 6 hours. It can be hung up from a hook or can set on a table. The lantern is very well made has a beautiful design to it which resembles a flag. The glass on the lantern is made of little squares each in the red white and blue with stars on the blue.

Very nice patriotic lantern! The instructions are very easy to understand. All I needed to do was turn on the “on” switch under the lid and then put it where I wanted it. The light turns on automatically at dusk when the solar panel is charged. The lantern is 12 inches tall with its metal handle hanger but I did not want to hang it up. I put mine in the center of our outdoor wrought-iron table. To make sure the wind or wandering critters do not knock it over, I tied the lantern to the grill top of this table with black wire ties. Now, all I need are a few sunny days to fully charge it up. I’m happy!!

This is a cute table top decoration but has a swing metal handle so you can hang it as well. It comes securely and safely packaged. It’s solar powered (the panel is on the top of the removable lid) and the light is a single, bright white LED. When lit, it’s not going to throw off enough light to read by. It is a gentle, pretty light that sets the mood. I really like it. When you get it, the solar battery already has some charge in it. The directions tell you to charge the (rechargeable and replaceable) battery by turning it on (there’s a slide switch on the underside of the lid) and leaving it in full sun for 1 day. The lid easily pulls off. The directions tell you that in some cases, it may take up to a few days for the battery to become fully charged. The first day, I set it out all day in the bright sun (about 10 hours). That night, the light automatically came on (as soon as it’s dark enough, the light will turn on as long as the switch is in the “on” position) and it stayed on all night.
