Normally I don’t leave reviews, especially not for a trash can …. but this one is GREAT. My previous trash can was about the same price as this one, but was constantly on the brink of falling apart and such a pain to use. This is MUCH better quality. I live by myself in a small studio apartment, so it’s also exactly the right size for me. I’d recommend this if you’re looking for a nice kitchen trash can to fit in a small space.

Pros - the size (at least for my purposes), the simple mechanism to neatly conceal the garbage bag under the inside frame, prompt delivery of the item, been generally happy with this particular brand in my purchases. Cons - perhaps durability which is yet to be determined but nothing at this time.

Bought this because we have two fur babies that enjoy digging into our master trash can, but no longer as we have this covered can. Nice size. Sturdy. I would recommend but buy it on sale not really worth the full price.

I like the size and style but when I took it out from the box, things fell out. One of the rubber circles on the bottom of four courners fell off and a narrow rubber strip that was glued to the bottom of the step bar fell off too. It does not give me confidence about the quality of the overall product, so I decided to return it.

We live in a an apartment and needed a tall small garbage can to avoid the baby getting into. This works perfectly for that. Finding garbage bags that are 30l that fit this garbage can though is tricky. I am currently using 45l bags. I also think this can will dent easily given the damage we saw on the first one we received.

Great trash can, even better customer service

The trash cans are great. We now have over a dozen of them in the office. They are elegantly sleek and the lid keeps smells under wraps. We had one trash can that arrived dented. I called customer service at Kohler and they immediately replaced it without any hassles. Did not even require us to return the defected one. We are totally satisfied with the purchase and this company.

Best Ever

If it is possible to love a trash can this is the one. The size is perfect for where I needed to place it. The design is great! It holds a 13 gal. tall kitchen bag perfectly with no bag showing due to the top frame which also holds the bag in place. No more reaching into a smelly can to grab a slipped down bag. The can is very sturdy, non slip, and has a soft close lid that works like a charm. Since it is in the shape of a rectangle it allows for easy filling. The exterior is very sturdy and easy to wipe clean. Great value for the price.

Trash can is great, but came damaged. Wayfair was amazing and sent replacement right away. However, replacement also arrived with the same damage (large dents to the outside of the trash can). Now I have two lovely dented trash cans.

Nice product but just a bit too big and heavy for where I wanted to put it. BUT WHEN I CHOSE TO RETURN IT Wayfair wanted to charge me over $47.00 to return it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's almost 50% of the cost of the item. Needless to say I will never buy anything from Wayfair again. Especially since I could have bought this from other sources.

I needed a bigger trash can for my kitchen and general area use. This 8L Kohler step trash can was just the perfect choice. It is sleek enough to be placed in small corners, effectively hides away trash bag from sticking outside the can and the No-Touch soft step feature is a plus to prevent mess and infection. I love it.

I really like the slow-close lid feature and the step-open bar is easy to see and use. A simple instruction on how to use the lock open lid feature would be helpful. I didn't want to break anything plastic. It is a slim 8 gallon unit which looks sharp and fits in the end of my galley kitchen. I have never paid this much for a trash can so I hope it continues to work as well as it does now.

Perfect size for 1-2 person household

I purchased this step can for its good looks and perfect size. Since I do not create a ton of garbage, I wanted something smaller that I could empty more frequently.

Beyond satisfied

This can literally has everything i looked for in a trash can! It looks great, shiny and sleek,really well made, reliable, sturdy, durable and well isolated! We got it since we moved to our new place several months ago and I cannot be happier with this product! The stainless steal is high quality and print resistant! The lid is easily and promptly open with the foot paddle but gradually and quietly close which I mostly appreciated! I would definitely recommend this can to everyone

I purchased this trash can for the kitchen. I have black appliances so it matches. The main reason was the size, it fits in the small space I have for the trash can. It’s a heavy can so it stays put when you step on the lever to open the lid. It has a inner container for the trash bag so it will wrap around and not show.

Everytime I use this garbage can I feel happy. It works so well and feels so sturdy. It's easy to change the bag because the lid and liner-holder flip up and stay up till I put them down. I use regular tall kitchen bags. It looks nice in the kitchen. I needed a shorter can to put under the counter. Fits perfect. I initially didn't want to spend that much for a can, it's worth every penny1

Looks really nice in my kitchen - nice size ( I didn't want a 'tall' garbage can). Love the easy close. I did misunderstand the information that seemed to suggest no special size bags required. You do need a bag large enough for this 8 gallon can. The liner is easy to remove as is the garbage bags. I also really like that you do not see the 'bag' once the lid of the can is closed.

I received my Kohler - 8-gallon pantry stainless steel step can and was very surprised by the weight of it. It is heavy duty and I love it. I honestly didn't think it would be and Kohler stands behind their products with the trash can having a 10 year warranty.it has a inner liner to keep it clean and easy to replace trash with bag. Plus with kids, it has helped keep cleaner cause they think it is cool to step on the pedal so it can open and they can throw their trash. I have younger kids so it has helped. It is great quality and great for the value. Please note, I was able to try in exchange for my honest opinion. That being said 5 stars because it deserves that if not more. It is worth the money, high quality.

I love its design, premium looks and has a stainless steel body. This has a good capacity and can fit any 8 gallons trash bag. It looks beautiful and perfectly matches with my decor. It makes my kitchen looks better and smell free. Trash bag are kept in place with a removable rim which allows effortless bag removal and easy bag changes. This doesn’t take much space and meet all of my needs perfectly. The lids closes quietly and softly, works great without any problem so far. It has a highly durable metal foot pedal to open the lid to throw away the garage without touching it. It looks great and is very well made and super easy to maintain. I am very satisfied with getting this trash can for my kitchen. Hope this will last longer and I will not need to replace it soon like the earlier ones. Overall I would recommend this product in my opinion it is worth the money.

I LOVE this Kohler 8 gallon stainless steel step trash can! It's deceivingly heavy and sturdy! The lid pops open so smoothly! This is made of high quality, strong stainless steel! This trash can fits regular trash bags which is amazing! I love not having to find custom trash liners just so I can have a can that fits my space. The quality stainless steel makes it more finger print resistant! A nice foot step makes for a more comfortable step to open the trash can! This is a great size trash can for any area! I love knowing I have a trash can that will last and also looks amazing! Also being a mom of 3 dirty little boys has really put this finger print resistance to the test and I am thoroughly impressed!
