This product is made well but, I was a little disappointed the grass was some type of thin plastic.

Just exactly what we needed. Lightweight, impressive shade, easy to crank and tilt.

Good size, not shape or quality of cover.

The umbrella provided good shade but the shape took away from the tropical feel and the cover material faded quickly from tan to washed-out silver.

I love the tiki look but soon became apparent that shedding was a problem! As long as the umbrella is open, it's OK, but as soon as you put it down you are showered with plastic shreds....and then continues to shed ....leaving shavings all over table and deck when in unopened position! And now I see "bald" spots on the umbrella! We put it up in the spring of this year so have only used it about 6 months.

Purchased in June, by September, just out of its 90 day warranty, the thatch is faded and is shedding into the pool.

[Rewarded Review] Fun distintive umbrella

This is our second similar umbrella. The new one has some pros and potential cons compared with the old one, which is holding up well for over 5 years. Identical thatched cover on both, so that has proven very durable. Only problem with the old one is that the knob broke off the crank handle. It still works. Advantage of the new one is the tilt ability. The new frame is round tubular, which flexes more than the old one's square-tube frame. The result is that the top sags on the new one compared with taut edges on the old. I guess this could be a disadvantage or just a different look. I added some spacers (short slit bits of old washing machine hose) at the tips of the 8 frame rods to stretch the top a little tighter so it looks similar to the old one, which we'll still be using. The new is also 6 inches shorter than the old. I actually like this for a better shady spot. Hope the new lighter frame holds up as long and as well as the old one has.

This is a really cool umbrella that looks like a tiki hut! It is well made and we enjoy how it blows int he breeze. It provides excellent sun protection. Love it!

Color faded immediately

I bought this umbrella when spring hit at the end of March. Two months later the color had faded and it looked 5 years old. Back to Target it went. Such a bummer, it's super cute.

I love this palapa umbrella! Easy to set up, it looks great and I feel like I am on vacation when I sit outside!!

Bought the 9 ft tropishade umbrella June 2017. Only lasted that season . Taking it down for the winter. When putting it up the following May, all the plastic thatch was falling off .When I opened umbrella,thatch was flying everywhere. Do Not Recommend this Product. Have had others to last more than 5-6 seasons for less MONEY.
