Very impressed with the selection I made. Was not too sure if purchasing a put- it- together project was a good idea, but I had an experienced person do it for me. Worth it !!!

Dents/scratches too easily!!!

The table looks decent, but dents and scratches too easily! We have had this set for a couple months, but it looks 10 years old because of how worn it is. You can't even write on a piece of paper without denting the table. The seats of all the chairs are gouged. Also, the 2 halves of the table leaf don't align. The 1 half is warped in the middle, so a vase won't sit in the center of the table without wobbling. Overall, this set looks decent, but is very poor quality!

Easy to assemble and looks great, however one box of chairs was damaged when delivered and upon opening it there are a few scratch marks on the chair backs.

We had to return the first table as it was defective - when the leaf was used, the table would not close as the holes and pegs were not aligned so the table could not be used with the leaf. The second table also had issues with the leaf - although the table closes all the way, there is a noticable gap in the center of the table as the table will not close tight enough to not see this gap. Also, all but 2 of the six chairs wobble a bit. We followed the manufacturer's directions to eliminate this problem, but to no avail. Because of the weight of the table (140 lbs) we had to utilize Home Depot's 3rd party return service to return. That alone was a nightmare experience. This vendor requires that the entire set be returned and will not just exchange the table - this took a month. Because we only use the leaf approximately 3 times/year, we dedided that due to the exchange experience, we would just live with the table as is, and use a table runner to cover the gap. Because of the quality of the table and chairs and the experience of return/repurchase, I would not recommend purchasing this table/chairs.

The Abacus dining table was exactly as advertised. Assembly instructions were clear and concise; elapsed time for assembly (table & eight chairs) was approximately five (5) hours. (In my humble opinion, the 'hex' screws used on the chairs slowed the process due to the tool itself.)

Like how the leaf folds up under the table and is easy to do. Like to look but is a little delicate, table top scratches/indents easily. Probably not a good buy for a house with young kids.

Sturdy especially for people that entertain a lot stylish natural color goes with any decor

I love the color and the size with the optional addition of the leaf. The set feels very sturdy. I really love the shade and look of the table top. I'm so glad I bought this set and I hope it lasts for a very long time!

Very nice but beware of finish

This table looks great and I love the expandable option. Be careful cleaning it though. A marker bled through paper and showed an outline on the table. It wasn't cleaning off so we tried a magic eraser. It looked like it messed up the finish on the table. Now that spot is shinier and stands out :(
