Glad I bought it !

I have one bedroom that doesn’t get enough cold air blowing through the vent. This fan is great!! As soon as I put it on I could feel the room get colder, with the door closed the room is now the coldest room in the house. I’m getting another for the living room. I don’t think the fan is loud at all, the cord is long but I did need an extension cord. My vents are in strange places.

Improved ventilation in my pantry/equipment closet

I'm using this as a fan that runs all the time, and not using the thermostat sensor on it. I have a pantry closet with all the networking equipment up near the ceiling. It gets hot in there. Originally I had a very small bathroom AC register, but I had an HVAC company install a larger 10 x 6 register and a larger duct. That helped a lot, but it still got warm when the AC wasn't running. I installed this register booster and just configured it to run the fans all the time at speed 8 (out of 10). When the AC is not running, it still draws cooler air through the duct, from the adjacent room. This made a REALLY big difference. Now it feels just as cool in there as the rest of the building.

Works great

Our house has a basement and all the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. The furnace is in the basement on one end of the house and there is a 2nd floor bedroom on the complete other end of the house. That bedroom has always been cold. This heat vent completely fixed that. The bedroom is now the same temperature as the rest of the house. And installation was easy. I'm very pleased with this product.

A solution at the right price

Needed more heat and AC flow to the second floor bedroom. The vent is low on the wall and this fit perfectly. Only took 15 minutes to remove the old grill, mount thus one and figure out the settings. Makes a big difference and looks good doing it.

It Really Works!!!

The central AC was not cooling off the upstairs. The basement was cold - first floor comfortable, however, the 2nd floor was not cool. We closed most the vents in the basement (it was still cold) in order to divert the cold air to the other open vents - it worked but not very well. Then we came across your AC booster - the bedrooms on the 2nd floor are now comfortable. They were very easy to install.

Smart Technology

My son's room is at the very end of the duct system and always colder than all the other rooms in the house. I selected this fan to try and suck more warm air into his room and warm it up. The technology is quite smart in that it uses a thermostat to detect when the hot air is blowing, and then kick the fans on. The fans are a bit noise but my son hasn't complained and it has warmed the room up, although not as much as I was hoping for. The fan looks good and fits into the décor of the house. I would recommend setting the temp quite a few degrees warmer than your thermostat, other it will run all the time.

Money saver/comfort maker

I live in a three-story town home with the AC and furnace on the first level, thermostat on the second level, and bedrooms of the third. During the summer, the AC had to be turned way down so it would run long enough to make the bedroom temperature comfortable. I installed and Airtap in each bedroom and now I can set the thermostat to a normal temp and the bedrooms are perfect.

I've been waiting for this - greater booster and triggers when HVAC turns on.

We have a couple of rooms that always seem to be either too hot or too cold. I've tried changing the ducting in the attic, but no big benefit. This booster on the other hand does make a difference. You do have to change from heat mode or cool mode depending on the season, but once that is done it turns on when the HVAC system does. For example in the winter, when the vent detects that hot air above a certain temperature is flowing out, it will trigger the fans to kick on and booster the air flow. When the furnace shuts off and the hot air is no longer flowing through, the vent shuts back down waiting for the next cycle. Pretty neat. You can either provide power from behind (which we did - makes for cleaner install - see photo) or from a nearby outlet (which if you have floor registers and nearby outlet - that would work). You can set the lights to stay off (we did as bedroom).

Works, but not sure if I feel a difference

We replaced the old vent in our basement with this booster fan in an attempt to add some more heat to our home office. It is relatively straightforward to set up. Since ours was on ductwork directly, it was easy to just run the plug to a nearby extension cord. To program, you can set both the fan speed and the temperature at which the fan turns on. So basically once it detects the heat from the furnace it kicks the fan on.

More air and heat

The AC Infinity AIRTAP is a perfect way to add more air at a desired temp in any room which already has a vent built into the wall or floor. I have one room which is furthest from the furnace and gets a bit less air / heat there. This resolved that problem without any major renovations. The measurements are fairly standard with a few size variations which these fit right into. The bottom part (plastic) fits into the existing vent opening, while the top cover (metal) is the grille which holds it in place. Can also be secured with two screws which are provided. The product and measurements are exactly as advertised. These AIRTAP vents plug into a regular household outlet using the included cord. Comes with either two 92mm or two 120mm fans built-in. The fans are quiet enough at low speeds, but definitely audible when on high. The built-in thermostat regulates how they work. There is a manual fan setting too, along with auto for AC & heat. I do like that the LCD screen is dark and only the numbers are white. That way it isn’t too bright at night. Would be great if the fans were a bit quieter and the power cord could be routed from any side.

EXCELENT PRODUCT

This AC Infinity Inc. Airtap Series Model T6 160 CFM 6 inch x 12 inch quiet register booster fan is a great idea for my back bedroom which is at the end of the homes heating ducts and always feel colder than the other rooms. It has a thermostat control and used for heating and cooling. It is an easy install in place of the existing register and needs a AC outlet to plug in the power adapter within about 12 feet of the fan. The fan units come in different sizes, 4" x 10", 4" x 12", 6" x 10" and 6" x 12" They also have white or bronze colors. The digital display shows the temperature and it has a mode button to display the heating temperature, cooling temperature and the fan speed. You set the heating temperature to a point which will sense when the heat comes on and the fans will start increasing the heat into the room. It works the same way for cooling in that mode. The programming instructions are clear and easy to understand. You can lock the display so no "small fingers" can play with it or turn off the display if it is too bright at night. This product looks like it is well made with quality fans and I expect to get many years of use from it. The company warranties this product for two years.

Quiet

I got this vent booster fan to install in my living room where I have temperature issues because of its distance from the main HVAC unit. Fortunately, there is a 120V outlet beside the register because it does require AC power to function. Installing the unit was easy because it fit where the existing register was. Programming was simple as I set it in "heat" mode and the fans will turn on once the temperature reaches setpoint. One issue I noticed is that the unit restricts air flow if the fans are not running so it is important to have it set to turn on when the house system is running. The fan has 10 speeds and I set mine on 4 and it runs so quiet I had to shine a light inside to verify it was running so noise is definitely not an issue. I can tell it is putting out more heat than normal and can't wait to see the difference next summer when I need a cool air boost.

It really works!

I have a couple of extension rooms that lack enough vents for proper heating and cooling. I tried another model that didn’t perform so tried this one and am very impressed!!

Like many houses, ours has one bedroom far from the furnace that doesn’t get adequate heat or cooling. Looking for options for years, I came across this booster fan. It looks great and better yet the fan is thermostatically controlled and doesn’t need to be switched on and off manually. Control settings include heat and cooling modes and fan speed.

Really cool down nicely

Really cool down nicely Since we put this register in with the fans. Previously our Bedroom is the farthest from the air conditioning unit, so I fear that the unit was too small because the room never cooled off. We installed This fan and with a little minor electrical fix it works very nicely and cools the room down another 10°. Also mention that I’m sure our electric bill since we don’t have to keep the house at 70° at night in order to get the bedroom to be 75°. We’re very glad we got this Fan and certainly worth the money.

Awesome I never know this existed

All Good

Out of the box all good. nice quality build , quiet fans .Install for us is to transfer ceiling heat to the room above which is on another heating system for the second floor. With a fireplace insert in the lower room allow us to transfer the surplus heat to the master bed room above . With the other up stair rooms not being used we don't have to use the up stairs heater as much.The vent really makes heats the room better than just an open vent prior to the install. Not too keen having the wires exposed in the room but will do a built in solution now know how well it works. FYI the grate is Metal coated white the assembly below is black plastic along with the fan blades which has two. I would love to see a damper along with this being a smart register.
